Alive: Rob Halford, Marty Friedman, Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth, Kai Hansen Dead: Chuck Schuldiner, Ronnie James Dio, Freddie Mercury
Surely you realise when people are listing the dead people they'd like to hang out with, they mean hypothetically? As in they'd like to hang out with them when/if they were still alive! Yes, we all want to hang out with rotting corpses, or sit across the table from an urn of ashes...
yeah its easy for you to talk about hangin out with dead people man, because you were already born dead... ...
Awww!! I don't know how much I believe you, though If you had, say, a backstage pass for a one on one with some famous musician you really admire, would you pass it up to have beer and pizza with your best mate?? I always wonder, if I saw a celebrity I really don't care for, Paris Hilton etc, would I actually not care or would I get excited? I think I would get excited. I hate that about myself.
Why doubt it? It shows great character and I'd just as soon believe that this was a great response. I'll stick by mine though... and express a bit of surprise that no one included "Jerry Garcia" with their posthumous choices.
i don't admire any musicians. even the ones that make great music don't generally strike me as people i would want to hang out with.
I can't think of anyone famous at all I'd like to hang with, except maybe go out for ice cream with Eddie Izzard or take Tom Petty to a BBQ.
I can't get my head around it, I'm not saying it's not true I'm just saying it's hard for me to believe that anyone would pass on meeting someone who made their fav music. Buuut I'm well aware there are people with their feet planted more firmly on the ground than mine.
Living Jimmy Paige Dead Kurt Cobain. Or Hendrix. If I had to give only one answer I would say Cobain since he pretty much got me into music.
