i'd own a faster then light anti-gravity flying saucer if i could live in it,
but i wouldn't hang around trying to impress humans if i did.

that's kind of nice. i even had something a little bit like it. although it wasn't black. and it needs to be longer.
(the one i had did too) long enough to stretch out lying down in the back. to make some kind of a camper out of it.

Plymouth Prowler was a beautiful disappointment. Sure it was sexy and blew people's minds. I'll never forget the day I first saw one. It came from the late 90s after several cars of that time were bland in design and character. But it had the 3.5 liter v6 and automatic transmission with a top speed of 115mph. It'd be tough to put in an engine any bigger under that small hood space, but at least try to fit a turbo and a manual transmission for god's sake.

Well, it was an exercise in style and engineering, not a race car. Later versions did put out 253 HP and the car weighed less than 3,000 lbs. and it had a 45/55 weight distribution due to the transaxle arraignment. A manual tranny was too big for the design and screwed up the weight distribution. It also handled like a sports car and stopped better than a Viper.

It was mainly an experiment in using aluminum to manufacture cars. It had aluminum body panels, control arms, frame, and steering knuckles. The V6 was chosen because of the difficulty of fitting a V8 into the bay and still meeting safety requirements (there's almost no front bumper) and because they could get away with the smaller transaxle verses a large V8 transmission bolted to the engine and taking up cockpit room.
It also utilized rivets and epoxy bonding techniques never used in production cars before.

I always admired Chrysler for it's engineering...and the Prowler was a tour de force in that regard.

I would probably like to have the most expensive car that money could buy, so that I might resell it and pocket the cash.

That's pretty standard with exotic cars. They are often worth more a few years latter. But if the car maker finds out you are doing it they might black list you so you can never buy a new car from them again. Personally I hate car flipping because it's very difficult for a real car enthisuaist to get what they want. Just capitalism gone mad ruining it. If there are only a few thousand or hundred of this car I can't easily find one like a Toyota.

i would want something that didn't make any noise. didn't take up any space. didn't consume anything there was a limited supply of that people fight over because it is.
but big enough on the inside i could lay down and go to sleep in, or haul all the stuff i'd want to haul from where i could pick it up, to where i could build something with it.
be nice if it had anti gravity instead of tires too. something like the doctor's tardis might be ok. or really just a regular old van, but it would be really nice if it could be electric.

i really don't understand for the life of me though, why anyone expects anyone else to be impressed by what they can buy, that they didn't make themselves.
