If you are confused I will be glad to stay with you until you are clear.

When I say, "does not recognize the author of his own experience", I mean that he does not comprehend the meaning of the words, "by our words we are justified". The meaning of by our words we are justified are the same as the measure you give is the measure you get.

As we describe the world to ourselves, so it appears to us. The same physical phenomena will appear entirely different in character according to how we portray it. Some one could lash out at you and you might regard them as a threat, or they could lash out at you and you could recognize that that individual is calling for goodness based on what they think goodness might look like to them. You could call it an attack, or you could call it, a call for love, and you do so based on what you believe about your fellow man.

I believe gods version of man, created in gods likeness and image and pronounced good, very good.

I never said it never happened. I said that ransom and sacrifice are not the same word. Jesus made it plain that no one takes his life from him, he laid it down of his own will so that he could pick it up again, so he would be glorified in his father. That is not a sacrifice but the fulfillment of all hope.

The teaching of the need for sacrifice to assuage the guilt of the children of god is antithetical to the teaching I desire mercy, not sacrifice. I desire mercy, not the spilling of blood, this is the new covenant. It is to save this confusion that the words no one puts new wine in old wine skins was spoken.

If it is the spilling of blood that redeems, why the additional requirement, but only if you believe? Do we continue to be guilty after crucifixion? Christ overcame death through the movement of his love for his father and his love for his fellows, saying of their accusations and actions, forgive them they know not what they do. It was by their own words that they turned their backs on gods salvation, the judgment of his sons innocence, preferring instead the guilt of barabbas.

If someone wants to say that jesus sacrificed his life, does that make them more saintly than to say jesus gave his life? It does suggest that god demands payment after all. It does suggest that we are guilty, after all.
How can we sin no more if we are indeed born to sin. Call no man your father, we are created by god and he is the only authority on good. We are redeemed by the lesson of christ and the judgment of god. Where is your accuser now, forgive them, they know not what they do. Jesus was crucified by virtue of the accusations against him and we continue to this day to crucify our brothers through our accusations against the holy children of god. I can give no more distinct demonstrations of these things than the conversations we are having right here. I have asked to be included in the prayers of those who call themselves christian and instead have been admonished. The remedy to which is judge not, love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you, do not accuse but go and sin no more.

I know you have not understood me at times, perhaps most times, like I say I am happy to stay with you until you are satisfied. I know that waterbrother
does not understand me or care to because I do not look like what he has believed in or recognize the words when negotiated in real life. That judgement does not silence the words it only makes them unrecognizable to him.

No bad vibes friend a question. I was pointing out that that "I am" and "the existing one" are identical in phenomenal content. If it were "I will be", it would not be consistent in phenomenal content with the term, "the existing one".

So I ask you if you say jehovah means the existing one and I say we inherit the name I am from creation, or my father in heaven tells me he is, do I commit some sort of violation, or is this some kind of proof that I do not know god?

"the bible I have read and used my entire life has been the revised standard version given me by the church when I was ten years old as part of a program to study for baptism which occurred at age 12. That translation uses the words the Lord."

When J. M. Powis Smith and Edgar J. Goodspeed produced a modern translation of the Bible in 1935, readers found that LORD and GOD had been used in most places as a substitution for God’s name. The reason was explained in a preface: “In this translation we have followed the orthodox Jewish tradition and substituted ‘the Lord’ for the name ‘Yahweh’ and the phrase ‘the Lord God’ for the phrase ‘the Lord Yahweh.’ In all cases where ‘Lord’ or ‘God’ represents an original ‘Yahweh’ small capitals are employed.”

In 1952 the Revised Standard Version of the Hebrew Scriptures was published in English, and this Bible, too, used substitutions for God’s name. This was noteworthy because the original American Standard Version, of which this was a revision, used the name Jehovah all through the Hebrew Scriptures. Hence, the omission of the name was an outstanding departure. Why was it done?

In the preface to the Revised Standard Version, we read: “For two reasons the Committee has returned to the more familiar usage of the King James Version [that is, omitting the name of God]: (1) the word ‘Jehovah’ does not accurately represent any form of the Name ever used in Hebrew; and (2) the use of any proper name for the one and only God, as though there were other gods from whom he had to be distinguished, was discontinued in Judaism before the Christian era and is entirely inappropriate for the universal faith of the Christian Church.”

I don't know what you are claiming waterbrother. If the reasons for the omitting the name of god are as the preface states, then the name jehovah does not accurately represent any form of the name ever used in hebrew. Perhaps I had read the very same preface when I was young and left it at that. This speaks volumes to whether or not the bible interprets itself. The bible I read, gave me no call whatsoever to name god jehovah.

God knows what is my heart and knows my love for him.

One thing about how we experience our own judgements is that when we judge we feel judged ourselves even if we are not in fact being judged by anyone around us. I don't know if you recalled, I described the same experience in myself in my regard of you. Whenever I give you, through the strength of my own decisions, any grace but that given you by god, then I suffer.

I have said that the holy spirit teaches what it is the same and what is different, because our propensity to misjudge our brothers distorts the truth about the love of god. When I say to you waterbrother that this thing you say compares squarely with this thing put forth in christs teaching, I am not judging you, just as you say that I am without the holy spirit because what I say does not match what the "bible says." The difference being I do not go on to call you unworthy of the gift of the holy spirit. I am confident you will not remain hard of heart but will claim mercy for your self.

However it does sting my conscience to say of you that you are intentionally
being dishonest because I can see you do not understand. We must be wise as serpents yet innocent as doves. My truth must never make my brother guilty.

Perhaps we should compare the two words.

    I am
    1961 - hayah

to fall out, come to pass, become, be

    Original Word: הָיָה
    Transliteration: hayah
    Phonetic Spelling: (haw-yaw)
    Short Definition: come
    Word Origin: a prim. root
Definition: to fall out, come to pass, become, be

    Jehovah
    3068 - Yhvh

the proper name of the God of Israel

    Original Word: יְהֹוָה
    Transliteration: Yhvh
    Phonetic Spelling: (yeh-ho-vaw')
    Short Definition: LORD
    Word Origin: from havah
Definition: the proper name of the God of Israel

It seems the two words are not the same and in the Bible, only the tetragrammaton is many times called the name of God, the term "I AM" is never called the Name of God, never.

Jesus says we should honor the Fathers name and only the tetragrammaton is actually called God's name, if we want to do as Jesus says we should honor that name. If not learning about that name or not even knowing it exists is honoring the Father's name, I guess you'll have to ask yourself.

Well let's take a look at that claim.

“Jehovah” is the best known English pronunciation of the divine name, although “Yahweh” is favored by most Hebrew scholars.

Since certainty of pronunciation is not now attainable, there seems to be no reason for abandoning in English the well-known form “Jehovah” in favor of some other suggested pronunciation. If such a change were made, then, to be consistent, changes should be made in the spelling and pronunciation of a host of other names found in the Scriptures: Jeremiah would be changed to Yir·meyah′, Isaiah would become Yesha‛·ya′hu, and Jesus would be either Yehoh·shu′a‛ (as in Hebrew) or I·e·sous′ (as in Greek). The purpose of words is to transmit thoughts; in English the name Jehovah identifies the true God, transmitting this thought more satisfactorily today than any of the suggested substitutes.

Except when moses asks of the burning bush, whom shall I say has sent me, the reply was tell them I am, I am that I am. tell this to your people I am has sent me to you, all this after the voice announces itself as the god of abraham

Huh, I am taught to pray our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name. I was not taught
hollowed be the name of jehovah, but hollowed be the name of our father who art in heaven. I also told you I came to christ teaching on the strength of a children's song jesus loves the little children, all the little children of the world. I also told you that the translation of the bible that I was given by the church states flatly and plainly that god's name is "I am." I asked you since you are deciding for yourself and we are to love our brothers as ourselves. I have no question of gods identity but of your verdict. I do not do this to accuse you but that you might examine the consequences of your decision to make this a bar with which you compare others to as to whether or not they may or may not be right with god.

Do you find fault with me because I was given no cause to search further for gods name, but to revere it as it was given me?

There is no reason for enforcing such a name either, particularly when god in the story says of himself that he is I am.

The "look" you have given to the claim is more claims by "authorities".
The complaint that jesus makes about the scribes and pharasees was that they knew the letter of the law but did not endorse it's spirit. I honor gods name being in and of his spirit and telling what the holy spirit teaches me unreservedly, regardless of the scorn that might entail. I am to be glad when I am accused falsely for christ's sake.

How does the word jehovah identify the true god more than any other title?
You have said that the bible wasn't written in english and that jesus probably did not teach in greek.

But thedope you've got to admit the serious being of self cannot be formulated from the distinguished being of beings which represents the whole content for the newly discoverable language for the cyphered attitude of Faith, and more and more dissolutions of subjects to talk about, the Existence of the Word.

If I understand you correctly I do admit, that is why I do not take the name of the lord my god in vain. I believe in his creation and I believe that I am by his grace. I do not prohibit the name jehovah, my fathers house is a house of prayer for all nations. I am asking for mercy.

I see the argument was only to remark the subjectivity of ethics constantly represented in actions of all men. Then claim that religion, the Christian religion is first of all essentially the struggle of people to be moral.

I do not see the word "name" there perhaps you would be so good as to point it out for me. You know something along the lines of; That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

"hollowed be the name of our father who art in heaven."

    And that name is?

Well for one thing it is not a title it's a name.
Second, it is God what God says his name is, as in "my name Jehovah"

Exodus 3;13&14 Then moses said to god, if I come to the people of israel and say to them, the god of your fathers has sent me to you, and they ask me "what is his name?", what shall I say to them? God said to moses, I am who I am, and he said say to the people of israel, I am has sent me to you.

in 15 god also said, (in the revised standard version) the lord, the god of your fathers, the god of abraham the god of isaac and the god of jacob has sent me to you: this is my name forever and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.

Now if god says, say also the god of abraham, the god of isaac, and the god of jacob, how come you do not add the suffixes to the term the lord? Moses already asked if he said he came from the god of their fathers, and they ask what is his name what should he say to them. First thing god says to say is tell them I am has sent you.

Well by your own information, there is a debate about that. There is no debate that god is.

What is gods name, I call him our father who art in heaven and the surname that is his that he has given me, has given you in creation is I am. Of this and in remembering this I am grateful for all things our father has given us in creation.

Any Christian who stops you and starts harassing you - simply ask him or her this.

Actually there is no debate that God's name is the tetragrammaton, יהוה, the only debate is how to pronounce it.
