i like this suggestion, you can get on a lot cheaper in NYC than a lot of people think. I know of a hostel on the upper west side for only $20 a night, i've heard temp work isn't that hard to find, and there are some relatively cheap sublets in brooklyn

strange thing is even though its in France it is on land that was given to Canada so technically its still Canadian soil

Id like to see the Vimy memorial in France with my own eyes one day

Plus it's built for the carless tourist, only metro line in the world with 24/7 service!

The irony is no one in NYC drives, yet NYC has terrible traffic

you can make it to south america by foot, horse, cars. while i was hitch hiking around i stayed with a fella who was doing some travling down in south america. he laughed at me for travling in america, because its so much more comfertable to travel down there. you pay 1$ for a meal. 2$ for a place to stay. 1$ to ride the bus for an hour. i wouldent fly to south america when its so easy to get to on foot. i would go to an island. like jamaica, or something eles. so somewhere that you cant get on foot. hawaii? who knows. im just saying. from what i hear. def go down to south america its cheap to live with american money, and easy to travel. but if i where to FLY its got to be an island bro.

I don't know that only seems to be true about businessmen during the day, in fact I hate opening a map in NYC because even when I'm not lost I can't go 20 seconds without someone asking me if I need help finding something.

yeah when I went to NYC I found native new yorkers to be really friendly and helpful. Anytime I was lost or looking around like a dumbass someone came up and offered to help me

Not too interested in going to the states and I only have two weeks to leave so theres not enough time to sort anything out there.

At the moment I'm thinking of flying directly from Cork to Amsterdam and then hitch down to Utrecht. Got a lot of options if I want to keep travelling then too.

Flying to Amsterdam on Wednesday, hitching down to Lieden from there and staying in a squat for a while. Travelling with a tent from about March onwards though so could end up anywhere then.
