    no i don't regret it.

i'm dissapointed by how many concessions he's been forced to make, which he really should have listened more to what winston churchill had to say about doing so, to the prevailing right-wing fascism, and how little was accomplished by his doing so.

but i certainly wouldn't have wished to encourage it.

Ok, I can say one of the worst. He still has time to be the worst. But really his legacy will not be known for about 20 years anyway.

So you wanted him to have a blank check? Well he has that for 2 years and guess what America didn't like it that is how Republicans took the House.

To be honest I'm more mad at Congress, specifically Republicans.

Because you know they're stalling 90% of the legislative work that they need to do because they know they can later blame the President on the public stage or not getting anything done.

To be honest I think those who kinda blame Obama are playing right into the hands of the Republicans who are stalling the Congress from passing: a budget, a farm bill, and keeping the faith and credit of our country stable.

Obama has used the espionage act more times against reporters than any other prez.

That alone scares the shit out of me.

We are now that which was told us about communist USSR when I was a kid.

This is kind of a stupid thread

Because Romney and McCain would not have been better. Its all the same. Doesn't matter who you vote for. We're heading in the same direction and the left/right battle is just a circus act to distract anyone from noticing.

    The truth hurts sometimes.

As for Congress don't just point the finger at Republicans, Harry Reid will not even bring up bills that are passed in the House. Also you can't just give money without somehow paying for it. The deeper in debt America gets the worse it will be.

What truth? I realize about half the country hates him, That is nothing new to me, but does it help to keep beating on him? Tell me, how does that help?
I am sure he gets alot of hate mail.

The half of the country that hates him are largely the stupid half. They were the ones spitting on Christ while he was walking that cross to his death. Basically the half of us who don't question authority, who cherish every morsel of every lie fed to them in the vain hope that somehow their greed and selfishness are okay, or are even good.

Those who care for the poor and needy are happier with Obama than with Bush.

This GOP does not give a shit about the meek and the poor, they shit all over them.

I know that pleasing everyone is an impossible goal for anyone to reach, no matter who they are.... I suffered through the Bush's for quite a few years and may be a few more with Jeb projected.....
So what is the answer....I am anything but selfish to a fault...if anything, I am too generous and would do just about anything for those I love..... Do I want to see just a few people get most of the pie in this country with most of the rest struggling with a few crumbs....? No...but do I want someone telling me that I cannot make a fortune if I am smart enough to do so....no.....so what is the answer?

What we need is a smarter voter populace and fresh intelligent and logically based candidates who take public campaign funds, to get elected into public office.

    ^That is what we need.

America has a history of having 3rd parties that only spring up on an emotionally upset foundation, rather than a logically strong persuasive foundation.

This happened during the election when President Truman ran for president, and the Dixie-crats were around, and it's happening again in state-and national politics now, with the emotional upset on the foundation of the wealth-gap, financial sector populace anger.

But nobody is using LOGIC as the core of binding a party together. Everyone who joins the Tea Party or Occupy Party movement, is joining because they are mainly upset and seeking an outlet for those emotions, and also explains why they are pushing "ideological conservative purity" as the #1 requirement to be with or against them.

@vance, that's why Harry Reid is blocking a lot of what the House is passing, and it's because if you read those Bills that the House is passing, they are very bad policy or they don't make sense when it comes to math regarding budget issues.

I could easily say that the Speaker of the House is also blocking things the Senate is passing for Veterans Affairs issues, along with various farm bills, and debt ceiling raises to keep the economy afloat.

Austerity (cutting spending) measures is the path the Germany took not long ago to climb out of a Recession, and they are not out of Recession yet.

America technically is out of a Recession, although they are growing slowly, which was expected since the stimulus was not what economists and math guys were telling Politicians to make it in 2008.

But this assumes that the majority of American voters understand which political party to blame for various outcomes.

A recent PEW research Poll from 2 weeks ago, came out and indicated that only 4 out of 10 voting Americans KNOWS which political party is controlling which Legislative Body.

This implies that what you just said, actually isn't reflective of what America's majority actually wants in policy.

I will say this though, the American people want gridlock broken and they want government working again and they do not want to see a government shutdown.

Without a sizable meek and poor population, how will the democrats win any votes?

Sadly through party activists, and also from special interest money.

I ain't so naive to know that both R's and D's accept special interest money, unless the individual candidate specifically states they don't accept the special interest money when running for office of some sort.

^that last bit goes a long way for me, and I think more voters need to support candidates that don't accept special interest money during their election campaigns.
