well i don't have an mp3 player either, other then my computer itself, these are from among the more then 43 hours i've collected as free samples from the musicians (and others) who created them themselves and intended them to be public for everyone to enjoy

ok, so the list has 21 slots, the first 21 cuts to come up in random order are:

    Opening Credits: 1_6 (a j-pop sample)

    Waking Up: jupiter girl (instrumental)

First Day At School: old lady (instrumental, daniel pimberton, probably from sound dogs library)

Shopping: level 3 (synth theme for literaly level 3 of a planed but never completed video game)

Hanging with Friends: jekyll and hyde (instrumental cartoon theme, audio network plc, via s.d.)

First Kiss: ngc 2264 (by snori, a german synthisist)

Birthday: furtown (from that same game as level 3, no i wasn't on the team creating it)

Party Scene: cosmic (another synth ambient tecno on which i have no other data)

Falling In Love: kruan (asian accoustic instrumental, again and again, i have no other data)

Fight Song: sanctuary (syth fattened with accapella chorus, no data just like all i like)

Breaking Up: shin-kobe-1 (a japanese train station with overlapping announcements)

Prom: pvoo-dtz-03 (synth, no data, just another i like from somewhere on the web)

College: birthday (instrumental, that's what it has for a name, NOT happy bday or similar)

Life: the fat man (instrumental, daniel pimberton)

Mental Breakdown: keeper's cottage (instrumental, kevin kendle)

Driving: cuzco (sound of a freight train going by close to the tracks, not engine sound)

Flashback: heroes (an anime theme, i grabed from an anime index site in the form of a midi)

Getting back together: owl song, (gemini wolf, nophi mix, synth w/fem vocal)

Love Scene: keihan-yo (japan rail onboard announcement listing upcomming stations)

Wedding: 02roma-s (starts asian accoustic with croud noise, goes to vocal, no data)

ooops i miscounted. ok i'll go get one more

Birth of Child: FOGG (bagpipe solo)

yes i have slightly strainge tastes in music perhapse. beats the hell out of the crap on clear channel i think.

i could do this again and it would come up with another 22 completely different ones. i could probably do this at least 3 times and possibly a lot more, without ever comming up with any repeats at all.

(or more then i would guess, one or two anyone is even remotely likely ever to have heard of)

    =^^=

Opening Credits: Palm Singing – Bressa Creeting Cake. (actually this totally is a happy, credit-type song)

Waking Up: Thrill Popper – The Hive (eh..I’m not really into energy in the mornings)

First Day At School: Road Rage – Catatonia (hehe. Nothing to do with school..well…it is sort of old school. I think it was big when I started high school)

Shopping: Belle and Sebastian – Belle & Sebastian. (pretty relaxed shopping trip I guess. Although I could see a bit of a montage going on to this)

Hanging with Friends: Smooth – Santana. (We’d have to be hanging out on a roof with cocktails)

First Kiss: If You Tolerate This – Manic Street Preachers (Ahahahahahahaha. If you tolerate this then your children will be next? Oh that’s…so bad…)

Birthday: Please Come Back – Catfish Haven. (If I got dumped around my birthday then I suppose…)

Party Scene: Bleed Forever – Super Furry Animals (Am I allowed a veto? I love super furry animals but that would be the most mellow party scene ever…)

Falling In Love: So I can’t believe I’m going to admit to having this on my playlist but…Hungry Eyes – Eric Carmen. Oh Yeah! I’m gonna fall in love Dirty Dancing style!

Fight Song: Sonnet: The Verve. (so my fighting style is going to be in slow motion)

Breaking Up: Graffiti - Maximo Park. (hmmmm pretty appropriate I guess. It’s about time)

Prom: Take You On A Cruise – Interpol. (we don’t really have ‘prom’ in NZ but if we did how much would I love Interpol to play at it?)

College: Under The Bridge – The Chilli Peppers. (Hmmmmm so I’m gonna be all junkie-styles in college)

Life: You Make Me Feel Like Dancing – Leo Sayer. (HAHA. Yay. I AM going to dance my life away)

Mental Breakdown: Dudley – Yeah Yeah Yeahs (hmmmm.)

Driving: Springtime Can Kill You – Jolie Holland (oooh, that’s growing on me)

Flashback: And She Was – Talking Heads. (this feels almost cliché for flashbacks…pity I was only 1 in 1985)

Getting back together: Inaniel – Devendra Banhart (ok this song is beautiful but a little subdued for getting back with someone)

Love Scene: The Moon – Cat Power. (so this would be one of those slow, meaningful love scenes…I’m gonna go with the beautiful but too subdued call again)

Wedding: The Snorks theme song….(Oh. Dear. Really…really?)

Birth of Child: Got Ma Nuts From a Hippy – The Fratellis. (hehe. I think, like most of this list, the word that springs to mind is inappropriate)

That was fun…I kind of want to go again….

Might as well... I give in, dammit... even though I barely have any music installed.

Opening Credits: Elliot Smith - Say Yes (One of my favourite songs in this lovely world... so that's a rather good intro)
Waking Up: Rufus Wainwright - Hallelujah (I guess I could shout "Hallelujah!" when I wake up... even though, it doesn't seem to fit too well)
First Day At School: The Decemberits - The Mariner's Revenge Song (Hmm... I guess I need to go kill some of my old schoolmates, REVENGE!)
Shopping: Modest Mouse - Polar Opposites (Makes sense, for I hate shopping)
Hanging with Friends: Sun Kil Moon - Glen Tipton (This makes little sense)
First Kiss: Tom Petty - Last Dance With Mary Jane (Hmm... )
Birthday: David Bowie - Fame (Yes indeed!)
Party Scene: The Talking Heads - Burning Down the House (This one is just perfect)
Falling In Love: CCR - Have You Ever Seen The Rain (I guess it could be taken as a love song, somehow)
Fight Song: Neutral Milk Hotel - Wishful Eyes (Hmm...fight? Nah)
Breaking Up: Wilco - Kamera (Hmmm...)
Prom: Cake - Going The Distance (Does this refer to prom sex? It should.)
College: Grateful Dead - Casey Jones ( HA! :D Makes too much sense for first semester of college)
Life: Grateful Dead - Touch of Grey (That one is also rather perfect. This song has gotten me from too many pessimistic times)
Mental Breakdown: P-Funk Allstars - Give Up the Funk (That's when my mind breaks down from too much FUNKEDELICIOUSNESS!)
Driving: The Velvet Underground - Sweet Jane (Hmm...)
Flashback: Gypsy Kings - Baila me (That is a flashback... this song reminds me of the beach in Honduras)
Getting back together: Lou Reed - Dirty Blvd. (Ehh... I guess)
Love Scene: Super Furry Animals - Receptacle for the Respectable (Hmm... that song is more of the opposite, great song though)
Wedding: Bob Dylan - Girl from the North County (Hmm... if I marry one of 'em)
Birth of Child: Led Zeppelin - Black Dog (Hmm.)

    Odd, yes... odd.

Your wish is my command :D

Lately I've been really into the Dead! Dead! Dead!, The Maccabees and Arcade Fire. Also, Luxembourg is worth checking out, they're amazing. Emmy The Great (I know she's definitely on myspace so you can check her out there! I saw her supporting Martha Wainwright a little over a year ago and boy was she good!) is pretty cool, so is Tilly and The Wall, The Shins, The Hot Puppies... You can start off with this lots. :D

Ok, your turn! I love discovering new, GOOD music! :D
