i know! and it looks -WAAAAAAAAAAAAY- prettier on my hand than in that picture (im not wearing the wedding band it came with, obviously because im not married... but im thinking that for our 1 or 5 year anniversary i may order a duplicate of the band and pop it on top so that the engagement band is surrounded and theres lots and lots and lots of sparklies! SPARKLIES!!!)

CONGRATS! Your ring is gorgeous! Being engaged is awesome, but getting the engagement ring is awesome too. I still look down at my finger a year later and am like WTF? How did I get this gorgeousness on my finger. Do you know what type of wedding you want?

 

classy elegant and not too expensive lol... we still have lots of time to plan. i want it held at the same hotel that did my cousins reception (they did an -amazing- job and they have the prettiest rooms in the city by far, and arent any more expensive than most of the other hotels tbh), chris wants the ceremony done at his familys church (he doesnt attend anymore but his family still does, i just want to take a look at it first and make sure its not totally hideous but i doubt ill veto it), and im thinking red and gold as our two main colours with black and softer gold as accent colours, assuming we can pull that off without it looking tacky... but like i said, weve got -lots- of time to plan, its not for like 3 years yet. i was thinking a spring wedding too, may if i can book everything for then (probably plan on booking stuff about a year from now so that i can get them for sure n all)

 

You're making me feel bad, we've hardly done any wedding planning and we're supposed to get married next year I've found my dress but that's about it, hahah.

 

Oh my god. I am jealous of you both! John has a ring... right now... and I have to shut up and be patient!

It looks something like this, couldn't find the exact ring online though. I love my ring, it's very simple and yet so beautiful.

Haha, he told me first! He was too excited to keep it from me and he wrote me wedding vows which are beautiful... I told him I am a terrible writer that I wouldn't compare to his.

Thats really sweet.

I asked my fiance to marry me one night when he got pissed off at me and I thought about how silly our fights are sometimes....so I went into the bedroom and pinned his arms down(while we were a bit tipsy) and asked him if I could ask him a question.

He kept thinking I was being a smart ass or that i was trying to make a point....when truly I felt the urge to share the rest of my life with him.

His reaction was priceless. Though he was pissed that I did it since he was getting ready to ask me.
