No they're gonna be extending other dreads! Well once I've got them attached I might pick open the ends a bit further. Already investigated them several times and...no wax  Imagine that!

Wow I feel a lot more comfortable with that row of dreads gone.. I think I might do this on the other side too. You can hardly tell when my hair is down, and when it's up it doesn't look as harsh as I feared it could. Cool :D Plus...free extensions! I've had kinda weird feelings about dread extensions coz it seems like cheating and just feels wrong to me. But with my own hair just extending itself, it feels ok :)

:) Well, 8 dreads are gone. Can't really see any difference when my hair is down... which is maybe a good thing coz I'm sure I'll sometimes wonder what the fuck I just did haha.
I'll shave the hair properly off later tonight before I shower, to get it all to one length. It's a bit patchy and diseased-looking at the moment due to poor scissor maneouver...manoeuv...ma... hang on...*dictionary.com* manoeuvers! Wow, that's why people only say that word lol don't think I've seen it written or had to write it before haha. That must be how all you guys feel about their/they're...;)

I don't think cotton will last as long as you want it to. I think you're supposed to braid the hairs together, like reattaching an arm.

I'm not concerned about it holding, more about deterioration. Would silk be better? I only had cotton handy, so have used that for the first 2, but still have 6 to go.

Yeh...Well I won't be having monkeys swinging from my dreads or anything like that :p but I'll wait and get some nice pink silk to sew the others in with. Cool :)

Hopefully some time over the next few months. Just gotta design it first. Flicking through my plant books at the moment...

Any input/ideas would be welcome. I think it needs some blue, pink and green in there. Need to get a good balance between bold, pretty and cool.
