Lol, I keep nicking half of his reference material... it's not really the sort I have in mind. Also, I'm an artist myself, and a creative control freak, plus for something so near my face I'm gonna be extra-picky hehe. Even for things like flower combinations I think about whether they'd actually be in bloom at the same time. I was looking at crab apple blossoms just now, and thought shit they're probably too early-flowering to fit with some other things.

    Which mushrooms are pretty?

It's a tattoo, so the flowers will eventually be out of season regardless the type. And most mushrooms look like penises, even the pretty ones. Cherry blossoms look rad in ink, as does bamboo.

Yes mushrooms are a bit too phallic lol. Just happened to flick past them in my book which is why I asked. That is a nice flower gretaoto :)

So here it is so far lol. No very evenly shaved is it?!...doh. Once the tattoo business is seen to, I'll allow the hairline to grow back over it a little and maintain the shape with a better curve. The other side is in really jagged steps, just coz it was dictated by the dread bases. Will look neat 'n' sweet when it's all finished though :)

It's nice to not have a hairy neck for once. That mutant hairline almost goes right round to the front!

I really like the picture posted earlier of the full scalp tattoo under the hair (which I'm assuming is your inspiration)
I LOVE how it fades away under the hair line. It is very very interesting, you know?
And as mushrooms go, they are always too cliched in my mind.
I can't wait to see pictures when you get whatever tattoo you decide on!

A few months ago my mom and I finally agreed to letting me get my first tattoo...I was going to get something behind my ear...And I am SO glad I decided against it.
That is because I am only 15, and I sure as hell don't want to get a tattoo just to get one, which was the reason then...I would have regretted it!

Yep that was the inspiration, and yes I really like it fading under the hairline...and having it with dreads makes it even cooler I think.

And this definitely isn't "just" to get one. In fact it's more in my nature not to...it's certainly gonna be the un-inked folk who stand out eventually hehe. But no it's not just to stand out, especially as (oddly enough) I don't really like being looked at! The fact that it's actually possible to keep a piece of art in the skin is too cool to turn down. It's like Nature slipped up or something...like it shouldn't be possible. The body is usually so good at spitting out or dissolving anything that's not meant to be there.

    Having dreads makes everything cooler!

Like I said, I can't wait to see your art when it is done!
    I love tattoos...on other people.

Amy you could definitely rock a shaved head.
I am so jealous (I've always wanted to be able to pull of no hair, because I HATE my hair. I settled on dreads instead =D)
