It was so hard trying to pick a first tattoo. So hard trying to avoid cliche and stereotype, especially when choosing a small and simple design. I know the spiral may be cliched a bit to some extent. It's a nod both to the Golden Ratio, and Fibonacci's sequence (which makes a very similar spiral but they aren't exactly the same, I don't think...??) and, more specifically, the fundamental beauty in nature and the universe which long pre-exists any human notions of aesthetics, either mathematical or physical. It was all there, an eternity before we labelled it with numbers and pictures. Yeh
Golden ratio is found in the sequence, but you're right, it's not technically 'the same thing.' Oh my god, that just made you sexier.
It's the normal blokes that end up eating people's kidneys, so you're safe. but, yeah, intelligence + dreads + tattoos = sexxxxxxxxy....
I get such insane visuals while tripping, open and closed eye. ALL I see is the golden ratio in EVERYTHING. The spirals, and the infinity symbol. ouroboros.
i think that there is some lost knowledge in those ancient 'symbols' that we are just now starting to realize that the supposedly primitive cultures had. In my mind, it's too much of a coincidence that the medical symbol (with the two snakes) is a double helix like DNA. Or that the pyramid of the sun has recorded in its architecture its exact latitude and longitude. Or a map made in the 1600's has an exact drawing of antartica's coast, which was buried under ice at the time, and supposedly unexplored. The mysteries are great...
Well I'm done attaching the "extensions". Bloody boring it was! I really resent spending time on my hair these days haha. They look ok...gonna have to do some dying tomorrow to get the colours matching up a bit better. Hopefully they'll hold, despite my all-round amateurishness and having to settle for polyester thread, thanks to Norway's very special way of never having quite what I want in its shops....
Yup just sewed I've washed them and everything seems happy where it is. Some of them are a bit weird though...mostly because they've suddenly doubled in length and feel really awkward. Kinda like when you get a new haircut (if you can remember such a time hehe) and it always takes a few days for your hair to "settle". The other thing is, they're very stiff in relation to the length now, due to being two quite short dreads joined together, each with their original back-combed portions which are pretty solid in relation to the new growth - so they move a little weirdly. I might have a fiddle with them, see if I can do anything. The good side is, they tie back much better now Long boring answer - sorry
Aww sorry for the continuous dull disappointment doh. I just went to unpick the end of one to make it a bit softer. Conditioner really is bloody amazing stuff! Turned an impenetrable lump of dried up knackered hair into pure pink silk in seconds. Go Clairol! lol
the anticipation is killing me! I used a regular shampoo a week or 2 ago, it was insane how soft my hair got and the already loose tips seemed even looser... but it felt so nice and smelled so veddy good.
Ok, here's a quick pic I took just now especially for you Those longest ones in the foreground are 2 of the 8 I've just extended. They're all in the front area. Actually you can see the stitching on some of the others. Once I re-dye, the colour should even out a bit and the stitching will be better disguised...it's pretty invisible anyway so I'm not bothered about it. Big
'specially when they make em smell like chocolate. assholes ! the extensions are nearly flawless, awesome! I thought it would be more obvious from what you were saying but it's hard to tell... I jus adore the color, too. I miss dying my hair wild colors, I may have to go nuts and dye mine one of these days
well done amy. the way you were talking, i thought you were gonna have some frankendreads. you can't even tell!
