Hehe thanks. The main problem is in the way they move really. Like long sticks! lol Oh well. I'm sick of doing hair stuff now; feel like I've been wasting hours on it...makes me feel so dirty haha. My dreads can get back to their low-maintenance lives now. It's so silly...I've been getting pissed off with not being able to tie them back properly on days I don't want them down...and now I wish they looked better down coz I feel like I'm gonna have to keep them up a lot. I know the problem doesn't really show in the pics coz it's a movement thing like I said (no I'm not filming lol). Probably I'll be used to them in a couple of days; not used to my hair growing so suddenly! Big Big
Oh yeh, and I cut a couple of inches off the two longest ones, coz they were stupid, and did lots of tip-unpicking too.
sweet... I'll be extending mine in a few more months... although I'm not sewing, will be crocheting the loose hairs into each other with a small latch hook I have... I've always heard of people sewing with various materials but I've always wondered why no one considers sewing extensions on with strands of human hair. I mean, then it can be re-dyed as well and it will be the same texture as the rest. Just a thought. Easy enough to get some human hair and thread it through a needle.
I imagine they'll loosen up a bit when you next wash em. Plus, I imagine the new weight will take some getting used to. But you are as beautiful as always, and the length suits you.
I did consider sewing with my hair actually, as I had lots of spare loose bits when I cut the dreads off...but they were too short to make it not tedious, plus I'm gonna have my hair this colour for a while. If I did want to change the colour and the thread was crappy I'd cover it with a wrap or something. But none of that is likely so
Amy, it looks great! I think the length would be really fun to be playing with. Donw, up. And I"m sure they will get bendy in time and feel more natural.
well I think we all love the color of your hair so no worries there. yeah, if the crocheting them together doesn't go well when I do mine... I'll just use some of the spare human hair I'll have to sew them together. Anways, I'll let you know how it works out when I get there, but I think yours came out nice... =)
I'm not really sure why some people think they'd get bendy after time...? Do tightly knotted portions of dreads usually become randomly bendy? My new growth is softer, but the parts formed by the originally backcombed hair have been rock-hard for months. That'll turn bendy soon huh? lol After a few more inches of growth, the stiffer parts should be down to a length where they no longer create so much stupidity. Thanks for the nice words though
sidecut looking good amy, also digging the longer locks, would'nt it of been really funny tho to make one giant lock long with them and put it right in the middle of your head
possibly yes. the hair is way too short still though. but i never know what am i gonna decide in the future.
much appreciated! ty and @ amy, in the words of the wise Borat Sagdiyev: "Verrry Nice!! I liiike!" *thumbs up*
