yeah, you are correct. I think by looking at the calendars, she may have been at the very beginning of her fertile stage, but its still much less likely then. That along with the fact that plenty of people have unprotected sex and don't get pregnant, the odds really are against you. Sure, its possible, but its nothing to put yourself into a frenzy over since there is still a very high probability that everything will be fine
generally a woman ovulates approximately 10-14 days after the last day of her period. by my count, this happened 5 days after. generally, that's a good sign! she probably hadn't ovulated yet, so you should be okay. HOWEVER, not all women ovulate exactly that time. i usually ovulate between 7 and 10 days after my last period ends. AND, your sperm can live inside her for up to 7 days. i'm not saying this to scare you, just to inform you. but sounds like this "oops" happened at just the right time. hopefully everything works out for you!
but sperm can live up to 5 days doesnt that mean there is still a high chance. if she ovulates on the 15th and we did it on the 14th aint there still gonna be alot of sperm in there
Is it just because OP lives in Texas or something, but what the fuck is up with minors (or men) not being able to buy morning after pills?
^^ possibly, but just because they CAN live for a while doesn't mean they DO. tell her to drink a lot of pomegrannet juice. it's a natural anti-conception, anti-implanting thing. can't hurt anyways, and it's yummy!
oooh, I didn't know that, that's interesting! definitely some information I'll share with friends lol. Thormx....as a female who has accompanied many friends to the drugstore to buy pregnancy tests because they were so nervous, I can tell you that the vast vast majority end up fine (just 20 bucks poorer because those tests are so damn expensive!). Of all my friends who have had multiple "oops" and "oh shit!" experiences like you are having, only one got pregnant (she chose to have an abortion). This kind of thing happens all the time, and odds are still definitely on your side.
ok thanks for the advice. yes pizzicatofive i do agree on the morning after pill thing. i drove around about 10 dif pharmacies. all but one didnt have it and the one said i had to be a patient from a doc, a girl, and over 18 and they wonder why preg goes up these days they wnt let us have nothing to protect ourselves when we have oopsiees
yea well we both have decided that abortion is not a option. I might be young but if i have a child i am man enough to take up for my actions. Im just hoping god will give pity on me and my gf and let her not be preg. i tell you what though im gonna be the safest person ever when having sex if everything turns out ok after this. plus this summer she is getting on bc and will no longer have to worry
the way you said that part that she responded to made it sound like you want your girlfriend to be pregnant. A freudian slip is where it looks like a mistake, but it actually means what it means....like a subconscious thing.
haha yeah....usually Freudian slips happen with sexual things...like if a person really has sex on the mind they might slip and say "orgasm" rather than "organism"...thats one of the usual ones. I had a teacher once say "testes" rather than tests. The context in which she said it though was what made it great because it worked with either word.
sorry if this sounds ignorant, but how come its so difficult to buy pregnancy tests ? ...in the uk, most supermarkets, chemists and all night petrol stations sell testing kits right alongside condoms, even clearance stores are selling them for £1 (?50 cents?) Are the regulations tighter in the U.S. ?
It's not that they are necessarily hard to buy (except when they put them in those locked cases...that just makes things more difficult and embarassing), its more that they are just super expensive. The thing he was talking about not being able to buy was the morning after pill.
actually pregnancy tests are free at places like planned parenthood, and the DOCTORS OFFICE. lol. Poor thing you're freaking out. :-/ Well. I got pregnant when I was seventeen and I did alright, and I know a girl who got pregnant when she was 15 and her bf was 17 and they are great parents. it's all about being a man and stepping up to the plate.
