i don't like a lot of cake but i can appreciate a good cake... like this tres leches my girl friend got me for my 18th bday from the cake shop.... god they make the best cakes. i like carrot cakes and your spice cake sounds promising.

oh, and i fucking LOVE nutella.... on whole wheat toast with HONEY

there's an awesome little restaurant nearby that has a variety of ethinic foods.. mostly asian. anyway, they have crepes with banana and nutella. I haven't tried them yet, but they look so damn good!

 

ah! yeah, there's this shisha bar in san antonio that has a crepe like that, called the bonita. food of the gods i tell you. while puffing on some hooka and sipping tea or wine.... *wistful sigh*

 

There's a place in DR called Soleil, they make awesome crepes. Nutella ones, dulce de leche ones...yum, I could eat there forever

 

I actually really dig some of our ice cream cakes. Not so big on the Reese's, but man, I love the Strawberry Shortquake one. Those strawberries are so fucking good, lol. And I also love the chocolate cakes. Mmmm.

i like angel food cake. with fresh whipped cream and strawberries and blueberries. I started making it on fourth of july like 5 years ago (because of the red white and blueness) and fell in love <3

 

Chocolate fudge cake, torted into three layers with a chocolate fudge frosting filling, vanilla buttercream covered, and for a really sweet occasion, marshmallow fondant over top of that with buttercream accents.

Wanna see one of my favorite pretties I made that fits that description? All of the roses are made of marshmallow fondant and were hand sculpted by me. You sculpt them as you would clay. Took a really long time, but this has got to be one of my favorite cakes I've done.

I'm actually doing my first wedding cake this October! I was just on the phone a few minutes ago with my SIL discussing the game plan again...what stands we're using, whether the bride still wants fresh flowers in between or whether she's opted for ones made of icing. We have the cake flavor and fillings set, the design the bride picked is pretty simplistic, almost too easy I think, but hey, I shouldn't complain, right?

 

That's exciting What's the design like? I can't get over the roses on that cake.. they look so realistic!

I once saw a picture of a cake that was actually made of several little mini cakes, one was the size of a portion and together they formed a really cool design.. I want a cake like that for my wedding.
