    I shave my head

But yeah I agree, the funniest shit is when people spike their hair and get generic tattoos

Do you really just "let your hair go free"?
I need some pictures of your dreads lol (PM if you are shy).
Are they not a bitch to look after, unless you don't care what they look like?
How many threads are there about maintaining dreads again?

All I do with my hair is splash some water on it from time to time lol.

I swear, I just left mine alone and they turned out fabulous.

It's a lot easier than people think...people get confused and want to do all this BS that they don't have to do.

If you just stopped brushing and let it grow out it would dread...easy as that...

oh, and I wash my hair often. it's a myth that you don't wash.

hm I didn't think I sounded like I took it personally.. in any event, I didn't.

but I can relate to what you're saying - it's quite similar to how I perceive people from Balkan and some African countries. almost every single one of them I have met have been thieving, conniving, violent pieces of shit, yet every once in a blue moon I meet a really good one. hence, my initial impression is negative, but as I'm sure you do as well, at the end of the day I judge people on a person-by-person basis and not on some arbitrary trait like hairstyle or ethnicity.

I tried that, and nothing happened. I gave it about 6 months, and I wasn't even close. then I backcombed, and they fell out and didn't re-dread (gave them 3 months) so I crocheted, and they're holding together now, but definitely don't look like "proper" dreads.

this "anyone's hair can dread" stuff is what I think is the myth.

ouch, sorry to hear that. backcombing is damaging.

I've never met anyone who's hair couldn't dread..you just gotta keep it clean and play with it every now and then :D

Well, I dont have negative initial first impression or judge people when I see dreads

I actually think they might be conscious and open, and feel comfortable around people with them immediately

I was just speaking about the intent, just like kooks bother me

    huh

I love hair, odon, playing with it, feeling it, I have no idea what you're talking about.

people get obsessive and vain...didn't you know? this is nothing new.

Alright, I'll just assume you really have short back and sides and are actually just talking out of your bottom, to pick up chics...;)

I don't doubt you do like playing with your hair.
It just seems mildly preposterous that you just "play with it" and voila - dreads.
    Call me cynical.

I don't lie (except about mcdonalds employees)
some peoples hair dread up in days... they are lucky.

I swear man, dreads form themselves if you let them.

Nagh, I think more mixed race, with a Peurto Rican girlfriend who does not like proper black men - just nearly black men - far less hassle.
