Aww, both of those dogs are so cute. There are so many choices. I like lots of dogs.

Border Collies are awesome dogs. Don't get one if you have no room for it to run around though, cause that would just kill their soul (as with any dog I guess)
They're really smart, active (I used to do agility [ramps, hoops, teeter totters, jumps] with my old border), and sooo loving. Protective of their owners too.
    My old border collie:

She was 3/4 border, 1/4 Australian blue heeler.

I would go to a dog shelter and pick a suitable doggy from there. Thats what me and the boyfriend are planning to do. There are so many dogs in shelters now that you can even select a breed...were going to a special Cairn Terrier rescue (small and suitable for a smaller place) By buying a pup, youd just be supporting the people making more and more dogs, half of which will become abandoned, unwanted...in shelters.

Very true. I'd for sure check out a shelter before going to a breeder. A lot of pure bred dogs get health problems too from inbreeding. I knew a lady who had to put down her golden retriever at 4 years because it had gone blind and it's legs had stopped working.
And mixes are just as loving as any pure bred :D

Yeah, I'm defiantly going to go to a shelter. I have a small yard but yeah, the yard is small. And I have cats so maybe I am thinking of something smaller I guess. I really like boxers though.

That is so sad about the golden retriever!
