personally, I'm actually having a good laugh at your expense.

for your second comment - 'This one life has no form and is empty by nature, if you become attached to any form, reject it. If you see an ego, a soul, a birth, a death, then reject them all.'- Bodhidharma

Curiosity, in this case, is an attachment, because it's stemming from the ego's desire to 'know'. Knowledge is illusion, you know this better than anyone. Birth, Death? These things don't exist, and thus don't actually matter.

You say it was out of the ordinary. I say people die every day. It's the ultimate ordinary act, along with 'birth'. Everyone does it. Why is it so important to witness?

Besides, if you want a 'practical' reason? The milk I was buying was getting warm.

I have to agree with the most part of that, death is like no big deal. Had you been certified in CPR it would of been your duty to rescue her, If you were not certified( in todays society)she lives but is fucked by your bic pen Tracheotomy she might sue your ass. cause she need a microphone to talk. LOL.

well, actually it would only be my 'duty' to perform cpr on her if I were a member of the medical profession, and as far as the being sued, texas does have a 'good samaritan law' in place, where any injuries acquired while someone is acting in good faith, in an emergency situation, certified or not, are not grounds for a lawsuit. However I also know upwards of a dozen reasons she could have gone down, and none of them are things I'm capable of diagnosing and treating without concievably making the matter worse. I know her manager, however, was an ex-paramedic and keeps most of his certifications up to date. So I handed off to him, as his expertiese was greater than mine. In short, did exactly what emergency personnel WISH people would do in an emergency situation, which is get the hell out of the way and let them work, instead of standing around gawking like a tribe of meerkats, blocking light, access to materials, and possibly getting in the way by watching or trying to 'help'.

You can watch on and not be attached.
Yeah millions of people die every day, but not right in front of you, after saying "death" and pointing at you.
The warm milk is just obsessive compulsive behavior.

You arent going to convince me of anything so you might as well stop preaching.

Seriously you dont need anything but AUM, that is the sound of the birth preservation and death, when immited it wipes away all internal thoughts and attachments to them, and the energy can be percieved everywhere

Why did this thread become more about how faulty the OPs reaction was than the event itself? Seriously, everyone reacts to these situations differently. Who's to say what he did was "wrong?"

Anywho, on topic, that is wicked creepy. Hopefully she was pointing behind you. Or she just had a brain-jolt. Maybe she has epilepsy. It may have been a seizure. I hear they can cause hallucinations.

Maybe she was holocinating or maybe she had taken drugs. That would scare me really bad. That she called you death.

again with the insults, oneness...now I'm 'obsessive-compulsive'? Since when does my state of mental health come into this.

However, your'e right about one thing - I won't be able to tell you anything. So do me a favor, put me on your ignore list, so you won't be tempted to respond to me, quit getting butthurt, and get off the thread. You haven't added anything of consequence, except to troll around for a bit.

Why does it matter to you so much what I chose to do? I apologize for offending you by pursuing behavior that didn't fit your world-model, but it fit mine perfectly. Honestly, I gave you the only 'practical' reason I thought you could understand, seeing as you've got this huge issue with trying to convince me that what I did wasn't 'right action'. I say this to you - since my actions are so important to you in this, stop criticizing them and undo them.

I refuse to dignify this ridiculous behavior any farther. Blessings and peace, bud, and I hope that you can overcome any and all attachments you may have, for I've placed you on my ignore list, so as not to damage you farther with my faulty ideals, actions and thoughts.

Oneness ... i don't really understand what you wanted from this thread ...seems like you just wanna stir things up and be provocative. I'd suggest chanting AUM and utilising some of that non attatchment you're talking about.

25yrstoolate just came to tell his story, and an intersting one it was and from the sounds of it he did all the right things as far as i'm concerned ... mainly in being sensitive to the girls perception and leaving asap.(after being assured she was gonna get real medical attention). Thats just cool really.

B2YTL, did you ever find out what happened to her? I stand by my original theory that she had a seizure... They make you do weird things. Like this guy:

(ignore the title- he didn't die, says so in the description)

never found out, to be honest.

I consider it a little rude and awkward to ask, so I'd pretty much just counted it as 'one more odd thing in my life' and put it out of my mind.

    Mmmmm, goat milk. So good.

And Oneness, you really did sound like you were accosting the guy relentlessly for some poor choice he seemed to have made. I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed. Case in point:

wow, I didn't think this thread was still living.

Thanks Liquidlight and Firefly, and let's not feed the troll, ladies.

Firefly, I think I might be misreading you...when you said I made a 'poor choice'...could you clarify that a bit?

I'm confused, because I made sure she got medical attention, then carried on with my business, since I knew I couldn't be of 'help'.

(snickers) If curses were horses, I'd already have hoofprints all over my ass.

I'm not worried about it, and I know how to get rid of negativity myself, so I'm covered...besides, any Rom that asks for money to 'get rid of something' or even just to read your cards is pulling fast bujo on the georgio. Dont' forget, the first rule of bujo is 'if someone's stupid enough to fall for it, they deserve to get taken.'

I grew up around a kompania that stopped around this area and 'settled', and I got an intresting education from them..shit you don't learn in school, so to speak.

I meant that Oneness sounded like he was saying you made a poor choice. Personally, I think you reacted in a perfectly acceptable manner and that our curiosity should take a backseat to your comfort and her wellbeing. You did everything you could for her and that's all that matters. Glad to hear she's all right. :)

yeah, I'm rather glad she didn't keel over permanently and unrevivably myself. apparently she did die, but they got her revived.

And that's what I 'thought' you were saying, but wanted to give the benefit of the doubt rather than getting out the nerfbat immediately.

    :D
