yeah, i would have thought an imam would have been more traditional/strict when he marries,

that guy who married 3 women and can’t afford too. Lol. Thought there was rules in that as well. You must be able to financially afford to support wives and children.

Uganda is very progressive and breaks all the traditional/rules.

The Imam marrying a guy, the should go easy on him and not punish him too severely.

Maybe your first thought was correct though, and the guy knew all along

I mean it didnt all unravel until he got stripped searched by the cops

Current story is better than them both admitting to ...it actuallly says "carnal knowledge against the order of nature" in their penal code, and maximum sentence is life in prison.

There is also a charge of "aggravated homsexuality" fnar fnar, been guilty of that myself many tines ;)

Gay rights in Uganda is a pretty strong issue and this case will be fought hard in the courts through support of the LGBT community and the world supporters, that is if he was even arrested. He, the imam could have faced life imprisonment in 2014. I don’t believe he will at all, as the The Uganda anti homosexual act was passed in December 2013 which stated aggravated homosexuality is punishable with life imprisonment, This resulted in aid being denied to Uganda. In August 2014, the Uganda Constitutional Court annulled the law.

and I do think he knew all along, but the denial has more to do with how people will treat him, not the courts.

And him being Muslim, an Imam no less, this is definitely a no no within his faith and community.

It is an expression that comes from Hamlet, Marcellus, after having just seen the ghost of Hamlets father, who was the late king of Denmark he said “something is rotten in the state of Denmark” It means something isn’t right, something is unsatisfactory, or something is wrong.

And there is something wrong since aggressive homosexuality is not in the books, in Uganda, as a crime.

Carnal knowledges against the order of nature applies to everyone, not just the LGBT community. Heterosexual people have oral and anal sex too. A women wears a strap on and gives it to him up the (__!__) is also illegal.

I wonder if there are any sex toy shops in Uganda!? Probably not, as such a place would be a crime, as would using a condom, since this is also against the natural order of things.

Sorry, I went off track a little, I do believe this will be watched closely though, as to how the courts deal with this, or if at all.. The world bank, the western world, the United Nations, etc will cut them off again.
