There still seems to be acres of white space. My impression is they are making the site easier for people to buy things. I can't remember it being so easy to do that. They may have hidden what was there before - to be fair I can't see what they have got rid of. I like the fact it is easier to buy things. I like that it has the trailer for the films right at the start. It just feels like a more glossy version of wiki. I'm really struggling to find fault, sorry. Perhaps if there was more of a critique of the old and the new, I'd say: "Oh yeah, that was good" or "Yeah, that's a bit shit".
i only use it for the recommendations feature at the bottom. is it still there? hmmm.rotten tomatos was difficult to navigate.
Other films that are similar and other films an actor has been in... I'm not sure you can buy the poster..it seems it is an enlargement of the image used to identify the film. The main picture, basically. But, judging by the url it is from a different site (fanpop). It is great if there is a link within imdb so you can go to that site, I have not found it, though. If you can show a link to where you can buy that Twighlight poster on the site, fair enough. I think you might be pointing something out that isn't an issue.
I'm not terribly bothered by the redesign as I mostly just use the message boards. I like to be interactive about my TV shows because I'm a geek.
i was just being corny.. i noticed on my new computer, that I have no issues with some sites now, since I have better ad stoppers on this one.. ones that have video loads and shit piss me off, I neg rep on my wot card so not to go there again. you won a nintendo wii.. I should have a billion them things by now..
I know you were. I can see ads on the top and bottom of IMDb...that's ok. I can see a few ads/trailers scattered around too...for new films...that's ok. I do understand what you are saying, but they have to pay their bills and it isn't ott on IMDb...so that's ok. Some sites are ridiculous and their is little content but endless intrusive ads...that's not ok. I have not seen any tacky ads for Nintendo Wii's (or anything that states "You're a winner") on IMDb...so that's ok. I have noticed a slight increase in the amount of sales opportunities but it seems to be relevant and not innapropriate...so that's ok.
I like Imdb, cause I can watch Hitchcock when Im tripping.. I like black and white when im on a trip.
I'm a total nerd like that too... I spend WAY too much time on the message boards! We've probably seen each other on there
I was on the House message board for the premier last night, but it was surprisingly deserted. It was actually kind of nice to be able to get a word in edgewise. I'm spoiled after True Blood, though. Bunch of crazy rabid fangirls with premium cable and high-speed connections.
I have a question: does anyone talk about the book series on those True Blood forums? My sister's a rabid fan of Southern Vampire Mysteries and always compares the show to the books is why I ask.
