Basicily what I think he is trying to imply is that Americans (gringos) dont have any work ethic, which I find particulary offensive.

I am an american. I might not work in a cucumber feild or whatever but that doesnt mean that I dont work hard. I would love to see you walk to and from work everyday (1 hour roundtrip) stand on your feet all day in the same spot doing the same thing over and over and over and over again. Granted that doesnt sound very hard it is extremely tiring after a couple of days. Now take that and do it 6 days a week for 8 months straight.
