    I watched it until about 3 or minutes, then turned it off to save my monthly allowance. Did it get any clearer, I saw several repeats of the scene and they all showed pretty much fuck all.

    You have to ask yourself what is more likely.

    1. This person, on a film set, is an actor practicing her lines for a scene coming up where she talks on a phone.

    Or

    2. This person, on a film set, is a time traveler from the year 3000 sent back to spy on Charlie Chaplin to learn all his secrets.

    Or

    3. Just about anything else.

    I'm going with 3 I think. I'm pretty sure people have always held things to their ears since all time. In the pre mobile phone era I myself as a child used to hold shells up to my ear so I could hear the sea, even though the sea was actually right next to me anyway, I wanted to hear it from the shell!

    The first walkie talkies started to come out not too long after 1928, so you never know maybe it is a phone of some sort.

    Hmmm my best guess a time traveler from the year 3000 who chose to ignore the prime directive by exposing the existence of time travel 1000 years before it was invented.

    Why because there was a catastrophic event 1000 years from now which nearly wiped-out the human race; forcing future generations to travel back in time to make changes through social engineering :mad:

    I know that if I ever travel back in time to the late 1920's I would not want to talk to Einstein, Oppenheimer, Franklin Roosevelt, Churchill or Hitler. I would want to tell Charlie Chaplin that nobody, but nobody thinks he's funny anymore after about 1948. He should have been more like WC Fields.:biggrin:

    Here's the most illogical part. The woman was dressed in clothes relative to that time period which would make you think this would be the potential logical behind a time traveller;

    "I better dress in clothing from this time period so that way no one knows I'm a time traveller. But I'll still talk on my cell phone from the future, no one will notice."

    Maybe in the future 1920's fashion comes back in. Look at how Doctor who used to dress.

    Bullshit! Apparently you've never seen the tightrope scene from The Circus or the red flag scene from Modern Times. Chaplin was a comedic genius!

    That's the whole point; no one in that time period would even know what a cell phone looks like and would mistake her unusual behavior for senility.

    But we in the 21st century would immediately know the device was a cell phone and this was her way of offering us proof that time travel is possible.

    It’s all so clear now

    Shut up. It's not used up, I just don't want to waste it on a stupid youtube clip that doesn't show anything. I already watched half of it.
