The way friendships evolve in those school years, I'd say it's one of those things that happens all the time.. Girls tend to be more worried about this than boys though? I can't remember ever being challenged for my seat, or knowing anybody who wanted to sleep through class!
I love sitting by the window, it's nice and warm. And I sit like front and center in one of my classes but the teacher in that class is cool so I didn't mind.
Usually towards the front but not the front row (second or third) and to the right (most of the rooms in my college have doors on the right side of the room). Less distance between me and the door = easier to escape whe class is done with. If I ever do sit towards the back, I inevitably get stuck with a prof who can barely speak above a whisper and wants assigned seating as of the first day, blech. So now I sit towards the front
everywhere but the middle.the only time i'll sit in the front is if im in a small class.im not a huge fan of the door cuz that means i have to open it every time someone knocks.so id say by the window
