Don't quite get what Indie movies should offer. But something which sprang to mind which Blockbuster should have is 'GO'. I thought that was a great film.

Man I had something else a second ago....
    Oh yeah! Trainspotting.

I might just be thinking of indie music and what that's about, in which case 'Trainspotting' is a definitive classic!

i saw Napoleon Dynamite last week and wasen't completely impressed with it because the whole movie is filled with the humor that's shown in the trailer.
Saved was ....okay. I didn't care for the ending. I like movies like White Oleander, Ghost World, Igby Goes Down, Lost in Translation.... just because they end differently.
Party Monster is a good movie - though to understand it I'd reccomend renting the documentary "Party Monster the Shockumentary" and watching that before u watch the movie.
Home Room is also a good movie, btw. and so is Swimming, and A Soldier's Girl.

note: I'm not great at spelling so that last title might have a typo.

I just thought of another Indie film which is a bit strange, called Blue Car. Check it out.

I really liked Home Room, as well. Almost forgot about seeing that one, it's been awhile.

Just saw the trailer for, "Manic" movie was made in 2001, I'm curious, it looks like a co-ed version of Girl, Interrupted. Another one like that is Social Misfits.

I really liked Big Fish, Tim Burton is the director. There's also a movie with Johnny Depp on IFC called Dead Man thats pretty good, its real sad though.

Big Fish was such an amazing movie. At first when I saw it, I wasn't sure how I felt. But watching it again made me enjoy it even more. Tim Burton is an excellant man for his work with films, just amazing.

I've seen "The Vanishing" and I thought it's horrible, horrible blockbuster trash. Don't watch it! It's a remake of the dutch movie "Spoorloos" and they crippled it with a happy end and all the other hollywood ingredients. Now, "Spoorloos" that's a mind-fuck, in fact the movie is so good that I'm not going to spoil the fun by giving out any details. Let's just say, it's one of the most disturbing movies I've ever watched.

"Forty Shades of Blue" is so pathetically bad that I'd recommend it to a discerning viewer. Hauntingly mundane.
