Indoor Smoking Banned

I like the smell of cigarette smoke on someone, but it's likely just because Daniel smokes and the only other two guys I've ever felt really strongly about also smoked, so it's like a psychological association or something. But when Daniel lights up, I usually trail away because I don't like breathing it in. I'm pretty glad that smoking isn't allowed inside DQ, it's nice to have fresh air all day, but at the same time, I think that outlawing indoor smoking altogether is really infringing upon restaurant owners'/managers' rights. I think that if someone wants to allow smoking in their establishment, that should be completely up to them. If you don't like it, you don't have to be a patron there. I remember growing up, we did avoid a lot of places because of their smoky atmosphere (my mom's allergic), but I really don't feel like we missed out on much.

and I still do feel some of you dont have a right to your opinion when you have no place at all.

the only one I respect right now is kinky ramona, because she also works in the food industry, everyone else.......... sorry!

 

LOL umm. How do you know no one else works in the food industry? Dont get so ahead of yourself, even people who dont work there, USE it, and they do have a right to an opinion. SORRY!

 

So the two years I worked as a server don't count? (and no offense to kinky ramona but if you count places like DQ, i have about five years, not two)

What about the fact that I'll soon be doing it again? (server) Oh well....

Ryan, you have good points but it's kind of annoying you acting like you are the ONLY person in here who knows anything about the food industry and can have an opinion. Automatically anyone who disagreed with you is a smoker and doesn't know shit about the food industry. Riiiiight.

There is actually a HUGE chance that I HATE cigarettes much more then you do.

 

Ryan, no one is complete without a bias, even you. So its not fair to say someones opinion is less important because they may be biased for cigarettes, though you are the opposites. Two sides to the coin.

I love cooking steak.......... the other day we cooked a 50 oz piece of ribeye for a person who bet his friends that he could finish the whole thing........ it fit our biggest plate, and ran over....... haha.

Myself, just counting food industry jobs, have worked at Second Cup (100% better than Starbucks), Timothy's Coffee, and El Rancho (Mexican restaurant)

 

Ive worked in the restaurant industry for 15 years (approx)

I work in a sports bar/grille right now.........we do steaks, burgers, pastas, salads, etc..... we are a higher end bar n grille though...... we do some pizzas at times...... actually the other day we did a sun dried tomato pesto pizza with chicken..... it was awesome!

I worked in a steakhouse for 4.5 years before the one I work at now, and I worked at an italian buffet restaurant for 9 years before that......

 

Eating or cooking? I can eat a lottttta freakin steak man.

I can't cook them worth shit though.
