I haven't been on this forum for about half a year but I used to always come here to watch this thread grow and gain inspiration from it; glad to see it is still going strong.
nah I don't like super long ones that that dude on the steps its alright for some but most of us have to live in the world. I'd never be able to work in my field if I had dreads like that. I like the girl drinking tea, she's pretty and has nice dreads.
hmm I remember you, welcome back Man you guys are flickr whores my dreadies are finally noticeably longer than when I started, such a good feeling!
I know a guy with dreads that trail behind him on the ground if down....he wears them wrapped in a ginormous tam and functions fine in the real world.
does he have a professional job? I ask because I would grow my dreads super long and would love to have them forever, but I'm studying to be a family therapist and I'm not sure that I'll be able to find a job in that field with crazy long dreads. I have 3 more years of school before I have to worry but by then my hair will be long!
Therapists get paid for what they know, not what they look like. It happens to be one of those fields where you can be a little unique and still be considered 'professional'. Go for it lady!
thanks I'm hoping to work for some kind of nonprofit org anyway so hopefully they'll be a little more relaxed...
there are a lot of dreadlock themed groups on f.b., luxie. i use the one with the largest member count "dreadlocks". be my friend on f.b.!
