You guys know I just started this new job about not long ago now. Justa little under 2 months now.

Well there is a position opening up within the company as an "Assistant store manager" at the airport...... it's actually the guy who hired me to begin with who needs it.

He mentioned it at his farewell diner the other night as well, he said I should go for it. I do have experience as Store Manager as well. I used to Manage EBgames (Gamestop).

Everyone is telling me to go for it but I'm 2nd guessing myself as haven't been in the company long and shit like that.

So ya it's all about how ya work

 

That's crazy, i'd be pissed if i was one of those guys there for 12 years and didn't get a promotion lol.. But that's very true, same kinda thing here.. there are a few people that have been here for years, whereas ive been here 2 months, and i'm one of the 2 getting a chance to be a supervisor whereas there names never even came up in the conversation..

Now that i've had time to think about it.. i really want the promotion, mainly because it looks good on a resume for future jobs.. Saying i worked at DQ isn't that impressive, but saying i was an actual supervisor at DQ sounds a lot better..

 

Yeah... that way they actually wait until you leave the room before laughing their ass off.

 

Come on now give the guy some credit. It really would look good on the resume esp. when they look at the time of his length of employment.

DQ or not a job is a job and a promotion is a promotion!!

When I was manager at my last job.. this crazy lady brought in a application.. first she wanted like $2000/mo.. my highest cook under me was making like $9.50hr.. she also put in the "Other Education" - "School Name - School of hard knocks" "Subject/Major- Knock Knock".. man i had to deal with so many weirdos.. the funniest was when bf/gf combos would come for interviews.. "Well if I get the job.. will my gf also get in? she put in an application" OF Course! thats how we hire people here.. only in dating pairs..

for months at a time i held down 2 jobs when i was in the work force...i found that it was the only way to have a huge weed habit and still feed the various mouths..

.many times i remember driving from one job straight to the next

 

it is such a nice night...calm and warm...not a cloud since about 2....so beautiful i am outside listening to bluegrass/hillbilly shit on ''mountain stage''..an amazing live show on public radio

 

i left the house and put the ac on, come back and there was 2 penguins in my room chillin.. ok I made that part up.. or did I.

Lol i agree being a supervisor at DQ still isn't entirely impressive for the average person trying to find a new job with that on their resume.. but when you've only been working there for 2 months, and are only 18 years old, it looks pretty good i think..
