Yeah, I think his actual words were more a long the lines of "getting rid of the state of Israel" , which, after all that Israeli foreign policy has done to the area, is understandable. I don't agree with or like the guy, but there are worse societies that the west never even criticizes (here's looking at you Saudi Arabia)

So essentially the Mahdi is somewhere between the 2nd coming and a horseman of the Apocalypse. Either way, it doesn't mean he'll try and cause a nuclear holocaust. You can interpret things quite easily. It's paranoia if you think he'll actually attack Israel or the US with any nukes he gets. All he's doing is increasing his popularity in his country and the Arab world by refusing to comply with the West.

Look folks. Bottom line is to execute a plan to devastate the Iranian Government and thier Military Complex. That is the only way to achieve domination and a foothold on the middle east for decades. I can't understand why no one is for this.

Also, The Telegraph is a very right wing, upper class paper. I don't think it's random speculating on speeches and 'rumours' is really to be taken as truth.

No I am no troll.I am serious about this. I am just a person who is proud of the U.S. all volunteer military who defeated a dictator along with his murderous regime. I am proud of the United States and its acomplishments. Why we have to stay is to guard the contractors and government officials and to stop insurgent violence. This will take time since Iran is funding them and supplying tem with IEDs. We are fighting a backwards ideology. Getting back on topic, America needs to destroy the Iranian centrifuges and military complex and depose of its government. If Iran is allowed to make nukes it will create a arms race in the middle east. Is that what you want. That is something we can't afford to let happen. We can not go around with a Neville Chamberlain attitude. When you have a pacifist mentality you are seen as weak and you most likely will fail at what you are trying to accomplish. You achieve your goals by taking risks and that is what we are doing. That is why we must vote for McCain in order to carry on the policies enacted by Bush and Cheney. He will ensure a stable economy as well as a strong energy policy. He will make sure that Iran is kept at bay. He understands vital military tactics as he is a veteran compared to Obama and Clinton who are liberal pacifists with no understanding of the military complex. Oil must be protected in the middle east. We must protect the shipping lanes in the persion gulf and ensure that Saudi Arabia is protected. Iran is a threat to the stability to the region and as I said before we must keep a foothold in Iraq for a long time and destroy Irans nuclear ambition.

Mr Oilman, Saudi Arabia does just as much funding of terrorism as Iran, and is ruled by an even worse regime (at least Ahmedinajhad was voted for). You cannot be serious claiming that ignoring Iran is taking a 'Neville Chamberlain' attitude. Not only does that show ignorance of the past, it also shows ignorance of the present.

The reason Chamberlain did not wish to cause a war with Germany was because Europe had just got over the horrors of WW1, and no one wanted a repeat of that. Not because (as is the case with Iran) there is absolutely no point.

Liking Iran to Nazi Germany is absurd, can you please point to the number of countries Iran has invaded or annexed please? Can you point me to any genocides it's carried out?

The West is a far bigger threat to the stability of the middle east than any middle eastern country is, all we achieve by going in there is stoking the fires of fundamentalism, rather than actually achieving anything. Warhawk foreign policy doesn't work. It doesn't work now, and it never will.
