This, I wanted to do acid at 14 and if I had had the chance I probably would've done tons of it, in retrospect it was good to be forced to wait a few years. Every 14 year old thinks they're completely matured, grown and have a full handle on the world. It actually bothers me that so many people here encourage 14 year olds doing acid. Sure no one wants to be a hypocrite, and you don't need to tell a person not to do it, but it's also another thing to encourage it. It doesn't matter if tons of people did acid at 14 and wound up fine, I started drinking heavily at 13-14 and wound up fine and actually extremely healthy, doesn't mean other people should actually do it. The mind is incredibly fragile and emotional at 14.

I applaud 14 year olds taking acid, this kind of behavior is just what the world needs.
You can be 90 years old and not know how to handle acid, so whats the diff

Jesus christ, a 90 year old brain isn't in full literal growing and developmental stage, it has nothing to do with who can and can't handle acid, any drug use at 14 should be minimum at most, 14 year olds shouldn't even really be smoking weed, but taking a drug that seriously alters your chemical chemistry and mechanisms of brain action to a severe degree while the brain is still literally growing is just fantastic advice to give to someone.

    LSD changes any aged brain.

No matter what, any 14 yr old is going to do what they think is right. Like noted, they think they have the whole world figured out. It takes making bad choices to learn from them and gain experience. I would not be as strong as I am now if it weren't for all the bad choices I made growing up. And I think I would be more so weak if I didn't jump and do the things I did.

A 14 year old is going to do what they want but drug use is so about to be about harm reduction, the point is to teach kids to learn from our mistakes. Give a 14 year old the information she needs, tell her from personal experience to just wait a few years, don't actually encourage a 14 year old to do hard drugs. Yes, LSD is a hard drug, the effects it can have on someone can be extreme. But don't actually encourage a 14 year old to do LSD, this is exactly what Albert Hofmann hated.

    I agree to disagree.

I agree that not every 14 or early teen should take drugs. And should not be provoked.

But there are some early teens who's maturity levels are wayy above people in thier mid 20's. I feel that these types of people have thier head on straight and can handle thier own decisions.

To be honest I'm actually kind of shocked at the number of people encouraging this.
I thought "not taking acid at 14" was common sense.
However, the sentiment of "you are closer to the womb so you are better of" is particularly disturbing. With that kind of logic, does that mean that a 12 year old is even better suited than a 14 year old for acid? What about a 7 year old?
    Good lord, come on guys....
