There is a lot ot technology we have gotten, using in our everyday lives and take for granted because of the space program. Hopefully there will be continuing research into space which will bring us yet more especially in the alternative energy fields.
Sattilites are part of our lives now providing communications and images. They will need to be repaired and replaced. The shuttle program will be continued by someone in order to do that.
What we really need right now is a better battery for battery powered vehicals. I fear that research will probobly be set back. Vehicals like that rover on mars is the only way you can go around exploring a planet and the technology we get from developing vehicals like that can be use in our own vehicals. If we don't explore space anymore will anybody bother to try and develop that??The oil companys will have a lot of pressure to not.

Well I would have to say it's a whole lot easier to acquire experience over a long time than it is to crowd it into a short time. [IMG]

Or: The experience not to stand close enough for you to kick me in the nuts.

You wouldn't necessarily call it wisdom, would you?

Right. But age does not necessarily equal wisdom.

I'm sure if you just repeat it often enough it will eventually become universal wisdom! :D

But you asked what wisdom would come from the experience. [IMG]

True, no guarantee but age has a whole lot better chance at wisdom than youth, thus the saying with age comes wisdom. [IMG]

No. I asked if it would bring you any wisdom.

I do not think that any experience will bring you wisdom. If that were true, I'd be enlightened by now. :D

Actually you asked; "does it bring you any wisdom?" and like I said it would bring me the wisdom not to stand close enough to you so you could kick me in the nuts.

And any experience will bring you wisdom if you learn how to properly use the knowledge you get from it. [IMG]

Well, as said before, experience does not necessarily equal wisdom to me.

But it is the wise man that converts experience into wisdom. [IMG]

Paradox? What was first, then chicken or the egg?

Forget it .... this discussion has been far too long. :)

    The chicken of course.

As for wisdom, it is acquired, first by gaining knowledge and experience, then understanding what you have acquired, then using discernment as how to properly use what you understand and when do this you are wise and the more you do this the more you can continue to grow in wisdom. [IMG]
Didn't know there was a rule on the length of discussions. [IMG]

No-one has yet shown that resource from solar system is not do-able

The trillions spent on nuke war all wasted.

The politicians HAVE not done any country or flag proud.. they wasted our future
    and lined their pockets
    All
Strutting an hour upon the stage.. All sound and fury signifying nothing
