Is Christianity under attack ?

That seems to imply that there is an "us" and "them" division within christianity itself.
Will all TRUE christians please stand up? Christians who lie and deceive must stay seated (of course they will!).

 

And that is exactly right.... You think everyone in the church is going to heaven?....

 

No one is.

 

In your worldview, this is it. We are born, we live, we die. Yet, why take a chance that there is no hell?

 

We are born, we learn, we grow, we love, we experience, we die, our legacy lives on through our stories and our children.



The same reason I take a chance there is no Valhalla, no Heaven, no Oz, no Fairy Land, no Hogwarts, etc.

 

why live your life in fear when theres a chance there isnt?

sure the bibles a pretty scary lil novel, but theres tons of other scifi books even scarier

Even if there were no God, no heaven, no hell.... I would still abide by the Bible.

I said that with the prior knowledge that I know the Bible was inspired by God and God knows what is best for us.

Think about it.... if everyone followed the rules about sex and marriage perfectly how much would sexually transmitted diseases spread. But it is becuause we have this immorality that such diseases are dispersed throughout the world.

yes the preists are christians, theyre following gods ..oops no..the bibles laws as much as humanly possible..but after all the power is in theyre hands alone to grant themselves forgiveness..so why not give in to temptation?

 

You are quite off on that statement. As I have pointed out in a previous post, the Bible speaks out against child abuse and molestation. (one example is Matthew 18:5-7).
