Is immigration out of control?

and onother thing. up here in alaska, we get a permanent fund dividend for living up here. it's about $1000 bucks for each member of the house. and i've seen more asians and mexicans up here in the AK than anywere else in the united states. cause they cram their whole families in apartments and rake in the big bucks for doing nothing.

 

The word "immigrate" is spelled with an "i", not an "a".

It would be nice to learn your own English language before you talk of others learning it.

You want others to learn the English language, when yourself can't even spell an English word correctly. What does that tell about you?

 

i think immigrants should at least make a real effort to learn English if theyre gonna live here....but im strongly against any sort of border contol. how can a life be illegal?

 

I wanna know when they are going to change the name of the language from English to American.

After all, more Americans speak it than English people...and how can we force immigrants to speak it when the language isn't even called American?

I'd be the same way as you wandrnshaman - i'd give up as much room as i could.

The point is you/me only have so much room. Even if you go sleep outside.
There would come a point where you simply do not have enough room.
The sad truth is not all those coming into your and my country illegaly are starving or in any great danger if the remained in their countries. They are simply economic migrants. Who should go through legitimate processes.

Did the rest of my post not make any sense ? - Did it seem like i was saying ''us and them''. It imho is only a human reaction - IF the situation was reversed and ''WE'' were illegaly entering THEIR country - the exact same issues would arise - the same people would have issue with ''us''.

I have no problem with helping humanity [''my family'' as you so whimsicaly put it].
The trouble arises when people start taking the piss.

Never heard of that. I know Canada at one time offered a return for immigrating and having children. You guys should have seen it coming.

 

Actually I am a horti...been in the landscaping nursery field for over twenty years. I've always tried to set my clients right on composting and proper husbandry of the land. What exactly have you been doing? During my work in the field I have many immigrant friends. The thing I object to is that by working these folks we aren't improving the situation in their own homeland, we are only continuing to allow the corruption and exploitation to take place.

 

You can quadruple your guard but if no one is ever brought to a court or exported it actually does little good. who's letting them burrow in, ever ask yourself that? Must be of some benefit to the corporate big boys.

immigrants is one thing - it is just like, the english moving out of our own country and living somwhere else (yes, there is a reason....we can only take it to a certain point)

But then there is immigrants and refugees taking over the country, detroying our culture, and well...in England - any true enlishmen, british person - finds them selves having to appoligise these days for being british -

ive grown up in a generation which hates us , yes i am menaing , whites, ive grown up in a generation which those born in our country(parents or even grandpparts who came to england) those born here,...rebel and do it to a point where we get agry and act hostile towards them..and then they wonder why -

immigration is fine, so long as the country teaches and ames it easy for each new generation to mix with each other

Just MY two cents worth... No, Immigration is NOT out of control. MOST of the illegal immigrants comming from Mexico, are ONLY looking for a better life for themselves, and, OR thier family's. US law makes it very hard for someone from a place that has NO OFFICIAL record keeping, (Birth, Deaths etc...)

to enter the USA Legally.

Some local constable may not want to be bothered to record the birth of another mouth to feed. It sucks ass but, it does happen south of the US border.

 

I think immigration does have to be controlled. It's not out of control, honestly. Yes, illegal immigrants can cause some language issues, etc. But Matt is right, they want a better life for themselves and Mexico isn't exactly as great as America is when it comes to the paperwork.

Most countries aren't as organized and successful as the USA. I feel it's our responsibility to help those who aren't fortunate like us, and I think immigration is part of that.

 

I belive immigration was out of control and now so many have crammed themselves in to the trading blocks that governments have virtually stopped it. However immigration is not really immigration its worker entrapment, cheap labour for the bosses. The capitalists need a market with low wages and high productivity. They are evil and rule you because you are stupid enough not to ask questions and demand answers, or is it that we just cannot get our governments to side with us who work for money. Yes that is it. Our governments own the production and are in power to protect the bosses they hate your wage demands and despise your bitching about their cheap labour imports. Join with immigrants and demand they either improve wages for all (including illegals) or that bosses who use illegal immigrants are put in jail for 20 years that will soon wipe that smug smile off the politicians faces. Imagine the politician you hate most with his nose tucked up your butt while you fire off a beans fart - that is the very look you will get for demanding higher wages for all or better conditions.

 

It's only when the corporations or businesses that exploit the immigration situation are taken to task that it will ever be solved. Focusing on the immigrants isn't going to accomplish anything if those that the promote immigrating illegally are never held accountable. We granted whole scale amnesty in the eighties....what did that accomplish? A whole industry developed that charged them all 2000.00 to apply, what now 5000.00? I would bet there are some republicans set up to do business today.

 

The reality of the United States is different than nearly all other developed countries.
