i'd like to comment on the post about the black aqcuaintance that believes there was no violence or tribal warfare before European contact. I had a black friend that claimed blacks never enslaved other blacks in Africa and had to prove him wrong. We can look at the Mali empire for examples of tribal warfare, slavery, and extensive use of gold. So, to blame all tribal conflict on European contact is simply incorrect as well. Post-European contact? Yes, the fuckers may have had a hand in conflicts, or made them worse.

There are no longer black slaves owned by white people. I have a hard time understanding why so many people get so caught up in this. Yes it was terrible and all that, but it's no longer. Jews don't continue to hate for what was done to them in Nazi Germany during the 1940's. Many ethnicities have been hard done by. It's over. One can question the nature of it, but to get excited over it is rather pointless. It only perpetuates hostility and negativity.

You obviously don't speak on behalf of those who have followed the thread. If by "nobody" you meant "I" then might I suggest you go read one of the other 400+ threads at Hip Forums. There are plenty where you can discuss how you dry your dreads, how you fry tofu, or what festival you went to recently. They also have a great option called 'my journal'. You can write whatever you want and you don't have to worry about sifting through all the "hippie love shit" that you don't want to read. Why bother sharing ideas right.
