I tend to agree with this, except the mouse part. If they become a nuisance I would get a live trap and take them somewhere else (I suppose then a predator could kill them naturally) but one mouse in the house tends to become a cohabitor, like the geckos that run across my walls.

I developed more respect for food hunters after becoming vegetarian. It is not my thing but I understand it in the natural order of things. Ppl are on the food chain like other predators, usually at the top. Better than those who buy neatly packaged "meat" in the market while ignoring the slaughter of a living creature it took to get there.

Yeah, we had a couple of mice in one of our houses and we we put down live traps, and once caught one in a bin and took him to the fields.

Geckos? Really? That's it, I'm moving to Miami.

Hunting for food is necessary. An animal could respect that. Hunting for some entertainment is sick and perverted.

Not necessary. For animals maybe, but humans can survive perfectly well without meat.

Only necessary if you live in certain extremely isolated places. Otherwise, it's a choice, a moral choice.
