I voted Israel will start nuclear war because they are the only nuclear armed country with the possibility of getting their ass kicked in a conventional war and be pushed into using nukes.

Europe must now rearm as they can't trust the U.S.
They even have to consider being attacked by the U.S.
    That means more nuclear weapons.

A declassified NIE predicted a 20% chance of open warfare along the Kashmir border between Pakistan and India (that would be their 4th Indo-Pak War), and through a “miscalculation or irrational response,” "the strong possibility that such a conflict could lead to the use of nuclear weapons." India is estimated to possess approximately 180 nuclear warheads, and has land-based, sea-based and air-launch nuclear capabilities. The state had declared a 'No First Use' policy, however, as of August 2019, India said they are reconsidering this policy. As of 2025, Pakistan is estimated to possess approximately 170 warheads and continues to gradually expand and modernize its nuclear arsenal. Unlike India, Pakistan has not declared a 'No First Use' policy, and focuses upon tactical nuclear weapons, whose use might be easier to rationalize.
'Pakistani war plans call for pre-emptive strikes against Indian forces if it's leaders are convinced an all-out attack is imminent because it lacks the strategic depth to repel such an attack. If India's military leaders were convinced that that Pakistani leaders were preparing another conventional assault on Kashmir, they would probably order armored strike units into wartime positions in Punjab and Rajasthan. That in turn would prompt Pakistani countermoves."
    "Intelligence failures could prove disastrous."
The NIE went on to postulate that “flashpoints” such as Kashmir, “internal meddling,” terrorist incidents, and “communal incidents” could ignite crises and confrontations, possibly leading to the use of nuclear weapons.
Even a limited nuclear exchange between India and Pakistan could kill 20 million people in a week. The ensuing global 'nuclear winter' would last 5 years or more and would kill one to two billion people through starvation in the first two years after the war.

"Japanese artist Isao Hashimoto has created a beautiful, undeniably scary time-lapse map of the 2053 nuclear explosions which have taken place between 1945 and 1998, beginning with the Manhattan Project's "Trinity" test near Los Alamos and concluding with Pakistan's nuclear tests in May of 1998. This leaves out North Korea's two alleged nuclear tests in this past decade (the legitimacy of both of which is not 100% clear)."

In my opinion we have already had the equivalent of a nuclear war because so many bombs been popped off on earth already.

That idea that a nuclear war would destroy every living thing on earth is probably total bullshit.

There is an increasing feeling that some unknown power outside this planet will not allow us to blow ourselves to bits.

Some years ago, when a NATO naval exercise merged towards Russia (Russia knew that it was an exercise). The ships mysteriously lost contact with each other, navigation equipment went haywire and for fear of collisions the whole thing was abandoned.

About a year later, it leaked from Russia, that at the same time all their nuclear silos suffered faults that made them inoperable.

In the years that followed, no explanation emerged and the whole thing seemed to be both denied and hushed up.

    So what is REALLY happening.
Until recently pilots could not report any UFO sightings, because if they did they knew that they would never fly again. It was internationally decided that loneliness in the air was causing delusions, making them unsafe to fly.
It must be the only time in history that the entire world agreed on something.
Around a century ago and probably for thousands of years before, there was evidence of visitors to this planet, but following the Roswell incident in 1947, all this seemed to end, but why.? Dit some force decide that as we became more technically advanced visits were doing more harm than good.
    Back to aviation.
A friend of ours, is the retired chief pilot of a major international airline and prior to that was a training pilot officer for NATO aircraft carriers.
This resulted in her becoming a world authority on wake turbulence. We all know that flights leaving airports will promptly crash if the run into the turbulence of the flight in front, thus the time vs weight and speed of the aircraft formula. So scrambling the fighters from ad aircraft carrier is somewhat complex if you don't want half of them to end up in the water.
We had many discussions on these ET escorts that could not possibly exist, because their turbulence would cause everything to crash. Governments used this as the reason for grounding delusional pilots.
But common sense, along with the thousands of sightings tells us that these objects do exist.
The only explanation may be the speed at which they depart. Jokingly, it has been described as the speed of light But what if this is true, because they are light, without material mass.
These days, we can produce 3D images with advanced laser holography, so what if we adjust the modulated frequency outside the visible spectrum.

Oh dear, I have just invented ghosts. Time for a nice cup of Yorkshire tea to cellibrate.

    PS.
If I disappear from HF and from the face of the earth, it is simply because Jane has read this, had enough and decided to send me back to the planet Zok, where she thinks that I belong.

Alternatively,....... Skip may have had enough of me. :):(

Outside maybe Kim..............nobody is that crazy yet(geopolitics) :D

But for some stupid/retardet reason everyone is scared off it and thinks it is coming(media/social media)......*sigh*

If you look at geopolitics.........things are not that different to the 50/60/70/80(coldwar).........just (social/mainstream)media blowing everything out of proportion(90/2000/ect).........creating "fear"

It's not inevitable. It's more likely to start by accident, equipment failure, rusty bolt, computer error, short-circuit, poor quality control, . . .

I read a article on a reputable news site few months ago from a knowledgeable expert regarding how many US missiles are targeted at North Korea. The person stated an exact number. Seemed to me WAY over-kill. North Korea has plenty of smart people - so they probably read the same article. When their leader heard the number - it probably gives him nightmares. I am not going to state the number as someone already has.
