haha see thats what I dont understand, people always assume its degrading for women, (which it was their decision to be in porn, why and how are they being degraded again?) but seriously what about men? How come they cant find it degrading to their sex? I am so confused by this, and confused at how some people feel so angry about porn when in reality all you have to do is daaa daaaa daaaa NOT WATCH IT! problem solved....

I think it's degrading to everyone because it shows people as just being sex objects and nothing else. It also seems to give guys an incorrect idea of what turns women on. They make it seem like if you just shove your big dick in the girl as hard as you possible can, then they will come and be satisfied. NOT TRUE.

 

haha i understand that, but I look at it as if someone takes porn seriously and thinks every single woman likes that, then thats there fault for making that assumption. If people cant establish porn as entertainment and that is it, than they sorta have a problem and then its not necessarily porns fault...

I think that pornography gives people a skewed vision of what sex is supposed to be about. It gives some people unrealistic ideas about what is normal and healthy in an intimate relationship.

Sex is supposed to be a beautiful act that brings two people closer together in their love and shared commitment, and anything that detracts from that union is reducing a beautiful expression of love to an act of mere lust and self-gratification.

That's just my two cents, for what it's worth. Of course, my opinion and $1.35 will get you a cup of coffee at the 7-11. *grin*

 

My question to you is what is the purpose of it?? Isn't it generally to turn on whomever is watching it?

If those people cannot tell that this is no normal average Jane in this video, then they have some common sense issues to deal with.

Most of the time anyone that watches porn watches porn in order to become aroused themselves. They typically do not watch it so that they may now think that ALL women MUST act like this. If they learn new ways to enjoy sex and become more intimate with their partner and possibly steam up the relationship, all the better.

The actors (said VERY loosely, no pun intended) in these movies are in them because they WANT to be in the business. They just enjoy having sex and getting to act out all of their fantasies.

Also a good reason most of these movies seem to be geared toward looking at women is because of a few key things:

a) women just look better, period
b) as far as I know, more men watch porn than women, cater to the audience
c) women just look better, period

Also let us look at this fact, porn in and of itself is a "sex object". The men in the movies are "sex objects", the women in the movies are "sex objects", the sex objects in the movies are "sex objects". In my experience (although this IS a bit appalling), men see women as sex objects BEFORE porn was introduced. I'm sure there are women who see men in that same light.

Although I highly doubt anyone in this thread is going to "convert" anyone from one side to the other, I still feel my need to throw in my $0.10 (meaning I have more to say than just $0.02).

I leave with this last thought. Action stars are not always near being as much of an action hero as they are in the movies. Romance stars are not always near being as much of a romancer as they are in the movies... I could keep going but I assume you get my point. There are Hollywood movies that portray women as sex objects and also those that don't. The bottom line is these are MOVIES, FICTION, NOT REAL NOR REALITY!!! Porn are generally FICTIONAL MOVIES, I know there are some amateur movies out there, which I won't touch on. In my opinion, I know these are all just Fictional stories, locales, and situations. For your own sake, I hope you realize the same.

I love porn!!! I would hafta agree that some of it is demeaning to women. I think that it gives some less mature guys the idea that is how sex is suppose to be. But for the most part porn can be a great outlet for sexual frustration and a good teaching aid for sex.
