Bible prophecy has been hidden to long. It is because of this that the world does not have a clue as to who God is, and what His plans are for the people of earth. Also, the prophecies will be fulfilled not because people know about them, but just the oppsite. When Russia attacks Israel, do you think they would do this if they knew that God was going to destroy five sixths of their army. They will attack Israel because they have no knowledge of God, or His plan. And this is because the church has not preached the Word of God as it should of been preached. Instead they have been having Vegas nights and bingo. There is nothing man can do to change these prophecies, for God has already told us the future. These things will happen, and they are not far off.
Campbell, Do you believe in the possiblity that if something roughly similar, to that that you describe, happens that you might be making an invalid correlation between your interpretation of the Christian Bible and these events ? David 23
I think anybody who's worried about it (christian or not) should study the bible for themselves. Otherwise you're just taking somebody elses interpretation for it, and for all you know they could be a nutcase.
That has been saying all along. You do not know how much we would like for people to actually take the time and read and study the Bible for themsleves. Many on the forums say they do read and study, but when they post their replies it is evident that they don't.
the world is not going to end when everyone predicts it, b/c the Bible clearly states that it will come when no one expects it.. if everyone expects it at a ceratin time cause thats when it was predicted, then it obviously wont happen then.. so u might as well always be ready and dont worry bout whens its comin
JesusDiedForU Amazing the difference of opinions. So, wonderful, loving, kind human beings are bad, that is not "in with God", if they do not read "the" Christian Bible? 23
As missionaries are constantly working on that, God finds those who are trully seeking the true God. Did you not read Campbell34's response to that question: God knows about the remote islands. Jesus said that if a man seeks me with all his heart, with all his mind, and with all of his soul he will surely find me. God will always find a way to make Himself known to those who truly seek Him. I have seen Jesus work this way. I remember a long time ago I was in a place where there was a lot of kids drunk and high and I was sitting on a bench at a beach. I told God I must be the only Christian around here. I told Him I just wish I could speak with another Christian. When I opened my eyes there in front of me was a Christian track just sticking out of the sand. I never got up from where I was sitting. The track told me how one could Give their life to Christ. After reading it, I had two guys walk up to me and ask me if I was a Christian, and they shared with me their love for Christ. They moved on and another guy walked up to me, and he told me he was a Christian and wanted to know if I knew Christ. I told him I did. A simple prayer is all it took, and God gave me a track about Himself, and provided three people to talk to me about Christ. And I never even had to get up from where I was sitting. Nothing is impossible for God. If a person on a remote island really wanted to know who God was, God would find a way.
For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. Reading the Bible does not get you to heaven, however it does help one understand God better. But you do not need the Bible to be "saved." I mean, they only had creeds back in the day of Jesus. Does that mean all of them were condemned to hell cus they didn't read the Bible. Of course not, but they had people tell them about the Love of Jesus. So likewise today we have missionaries-domestic and international-telling others who probably never even picked up a Bible and through their words others are saved. But my comment concerns the people dirrectly on the forums who can have access to a Bible and will talk every nonsense against it yet know barely anything about it.
I never said an exact date..... the Bible does give us the generation though.... and with all the signs it should not be a suprise to the believer. "For you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief." -1 Thess. 5
My intention is to find greater truth, and it is not my intention to talk against what I refer to here as "The Chirstian Bible". I believe, as a man, that it is serious business to issue and/or "relay" condemnations upon any of my sisters and brothers; and it appears to me that this, in part, is what a number of the folks are doing in these Armageddon related threads. I want to make it clear that I enjoy conversing with you and that I am steadfast in seeking the truth. I am learning. And, I find in myself great concern over what I hear here, and, thus, in the process of seeking truth, in the process of learning, I recognize that I may also catalyze learning experiences in others. I did see Campbell's response to my "island question". Do you have a first name that I may call you by ? Peace and Blessings, David 23
If you knew a cure for cancer would you tell the world? Thats how i see it when it comes to the end time prophecies of the Bible. I see what the Bible has written and I see we are close to the day and age of the ancient of days. I am glad to see that you are trully searching.... something here on the forums you do not see to often. My name is Ryan and what is yours?
the world will end the way i say.. because i wrote a new bible that predicts all.. actualy, what i beleive will happen, s those stupid self ritouse christians will see the predicted date come & go..they'll start to freak out seeing the so called ends hadnt come.. they'll try to do "gods will" & steal an atomic bomb to try to force the end..but in the end they'll fail..but theyre stupid beleif might still cause millions of deaths.. gotta love blind faith eh?
Your beliefs are based off anything but yourself..... The Bible was written over a period of 1600 years, by 66 different authors, from different walks of life, in 3 different languages and yet all the authors are congruent to each other without a contradiction. "Gotta love blind faith" ... I wouldn't know
without a contradiction? what about all he people who in the very boring section about who begot who & how long they lived ..each lived like 50 times the average lfespan we enjoy today..& the life span in thjose days was less then 1/2 of todays.. what about the contradiction of many many impossibilities?.. oh yea.. lets all believe that before a flood that was impossible to happen ..but lets say for instance somehow the dirt itself became water & there was a flood..but before this flood the very properties of water were different so it never created rainbows? sure..your blingd faith will say yes the bible says after the flood god gave us our first rainbow as a sign..so..whats that mean? he changed the wavelength of sunlight? the shape or molecular structure of a drop of water? what about dinosaurs.. we see there skeletons all the time..wee they on the arc too? not to mention that to this day were discovvering new species we never knew existed, yet noah wasable to collect 2 of every species on earth..billons of them..many of which or mst of which lived nowhere near him.. i supose he sailed the arc around the world looking under every rock for every insect till he found em all? the bible isa story..nothing more.. like every religouse text..just an ancient attempt to understand what theyre svience of the day couldnt understand.. they had no way to explain how a rainbow formed when it raned.. so it was a sign from god.. a sign of what? hmm well lts make it a sign that we wont drown when it rains..but why would we drown when it rains? well maybe there was a great flod once that drowned the world..what if 2 of the animals noah chose were sterile? what then?..oops..there go the snuffaluphaguses cause he couldnt get it up.. but if your brainwashed its easy to just beleive god said let there be a rainbow..and suddenly the laws of nature changed
actualy a freind in japan just pointed out another contradiction which i should have thought of first the bible says god gave us all plants & animals to use as we plesse.. therefore justifying the slaughter of millions of animals without guilt.. (and smoking of herb, thank you) but.. does not the commandments supercede this? with the blanket statement thou shalt not kill? dont you think a wise god would know thats open to interpretation & if he intended it to mean only people wouldnt that commandment be more clear? why is it that such a strong statement as that is interprated so loosely? look at how many were killed in the bible iteself..nt to mention the crusades, witch burnings bombings of abortion clnics, & the 200 bush had killed as gvernor..& the many more in iraq.. those are ok? i guess it should say thou shalt not kill unles you think its ok..or you do itr in my name..or you bot the munchies? oh yea what about if your just annoyred? christians bend this commandment to fit theyre needs all the time, yet isnt this just the basis of any morality? here are my commandments be kind care for eachother love everyone, even the idiots hurt noone intentionaly respect enjoy the gift of life spread joy not fear
The Amish have some interesting ways, but they are avid meat-eaters as I recall. Their non-violent beliefs are noble and an important example. I believe that there are cases where defending with force that can do "harm" is wise and correct, but this can open a dangerous 'slippery slope' way of thinking. I believe, that in protecting always err on doing the least harm; with cultivated wisdom and knowledge one, groups and governments can almost always avoid violence; being understood to be the error that it is, doing harm to not only the victim but to the perpetrator. This "second harm" I have found is often subtle and in much greater measure than that done to the "victim". And oftentimes I have seen that violence relates directly to the existense of personal or group lack of realization about a higher truth or better answers, and is directly connected to dishonesty with the self. There are always options for better resolutions and, thus, we should only yield to good; summoning the courage to incessantly seek and find the solutions worthy of our sacred nature.
now here is someone who has really pondered the nature of llife, love, spirit, & moraqlity..instead of just mindlessly spouting out meanningless quotes any predictions you had for the future i would respect & seriusly give concideration.
