Yet the prophecies are continued to be fulfilled even today.... The romans must have done something rite cus they are predicting things even today. However let us not forget the dead sea scrolls. These scrolls have been untouched for hundreds of years the Romans never touched them... and what the scrolls say are basically what is written today.
Wrong!!!! The dead sea scrolls contain numerous books NOT found in the Bible and contain books referenced too or mentioned in the Bible but not found there as well. THe book of Jude mentions "Enoch," "The Assumption of Moses" is quoted from in the Bible as is the "Testemant of the Twelve Patriarchs." The original edition of the "New American Standard" of the Bible was delayed to incorporate changes found in the Dead Sea Scrolls. Do I need to mention the Naag Hamadi Library that was found at the same time as the Dead Sea Scrolls. As far as exact prophecies being fulfilled about the end times then Just look up the nonsense from the first millinium, let alone the last one in 2000. Then look up Millerites or any other bunch of folks through history that had it down pat that the end was near. To date...no one has nailed the end time. Some misguided unfortunate schmuck is going to be calling a day or time that just happens to be correct by sheer coincidence...maybe...someday...but I really doubt that.

The sun will rise upon the world. Then it will set. A moon will rise, wax and wane. There will be storms, and mankind will do all manner of evil things to one another. There will be wars. A mother will have a baby and name it Goldilocks.

I HAVE read the old and ancient texts and probably a good deal more of them then you have Jerry. They do NOT all point to an end time right about now. many modern "end-timers" like to morph some of them into that or to cherry pick those that sound similiar enough to their point of view to twist to their own ends. Give me the power to twist or cherry pick old literature and I can prove any point of view that you want proven. Just read in real history how many times and how many people have been saying the end is near...the numbers are staggering. I grew up in a pentacostal environment and was fed the same stuff that you are feeding others from the time I was a child. None of it...NONE OF IT has happened. The ultra-religous love to predict eminant death and destruction. They simply forget the ten thousand times that they are wrong and only point to the one or two luccy coincidences they get from time to time.

I am still wondering who will first break the story of the massive media cover-up of the great Florida tornado of December 7th. On the other hand, maybe he dropped a decimal point. That happened to me a lot in school. Those order of magnitude mistakes are so bothersome.

A tornado will be seen in Florida soon, the date on that post is the date of the prediction, not when it was going to hit, you fools. You will see. I also realize that since the start everyone has been saying the end is near. However just because people have been wrong all through time does not mean the generation that actually sees the End will never come.

Just because people have been wrong all through time means they're going to be right sometime........... brilliant, Jerry. Absolutely Brilliant!
    World without end.....................Amen

I'm sure if I bothered to pick through this whole thread I would discover more of your inaccurate predictions. I would hardly describe the effects of Hurrican Wilma as "DEVASTION". I'm surprised that nobody else caught this. People have been preaching about the end of the world as long as history has been recorded. Don't you think those that lived during the times of the black plague thought that the end of the world was upon them? Are you so full of yourself that you think that you of all people can accurately predict the end? I did a search on google that came up with over 6 million results for predictions of the end. Here's a page dedicated to those who made failed predictions. http://www.religioustolerance.org/end_wrl2.htm Maybe if you try real hard you can make the list also.

I sit corrected, had I been more observant I would have noted that that was the date of your post. However, I read about five pages of the thread to catch up to date. Then I must admit I took the cheap shot. I still do not agree with you but I withdraw my comment and apologize.

There are to the best of my knowledge no contemporary writings about Jesus. However, in all fairness the people doing most of the record keeping at that time were not to interested in recording the doings of every local religious prophet. During the time that Jesus was said to live there were a multitude of "gods" and "religious cults" Listing the tax records was a lot more important.

so no confirmation that he truly existed ? date of birth ect..... turnd water into wine? how long after his death till he was mentiond of? i ask because pepole keep saying jesus said, jesus did, and it is proven, how is it? because the bible says? i believe there is contraversy between thealogens as to when certain books were written, who actually wrote them, whether they should be taken litterally or metaphoricly. yes jerry there will be terrorism in ohklahoma, there already has been, its not that hard to predict! will there be a strong tornado in florida probably. will there be floods ofcourse! will the north east have feet of snow? da! such a revelation! remember the blizzard of 78 as an example. so all the predictions you make are pretty predictable. if i had the time and desire i could show you multitudes of contradictions in the bible. but would there be a point? as bob said, some say its just a part of it weve got to fulfill the book! its been happening for 1000nds of years! may peace be always in your heart! and merry christmas to you and yours!

i believe that if we don't open our collective minds and eyes, there is a possiblity that the world will die from pollution, global warming and evil politicians and world leaders that care nothing for the earth but for how much money they can stuff in their evil pockets.

Can you tell me just exactly why global warming is supposed to be bad...without vague and obscure generalities that is. Please be specific. There have been many warmer times in Earth's history that went quite well.

Global Warming is not going to be bad in itself. It is just a change in the earth’s temperature and water levels caused by changes in the atmosphere. You are correct it has happened many times before. The problems is that humans have established crop patterns and costal structures that are not going to fair well under the new conditions. It is not that global warming is bad it is that we are not going to like it much.

Global warming is the accumulated effect of domestic, industrial and automotive emmissions of carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide etc from the burning of fossil fuels (oil, petrol) and wood (in 3rd world). These gasses are released at extraordinarily high rates, for example CO2 (carbon dioxide) is released into the atmosphere. For example, the graph below shows the tonnage of CO2 emmitted by producing electricity in the USA ~
    http://www.eia.doe.gov/cneaf/electricity/page/co2_report/co2report.html#electric

Multiply this by the world accumulation, and you have a seriously high tonnage of CO2 entering the atmosphere each day. And that is only CO2 gas, not including all other pollutant gasses.
These gasses have a blanket effect in the atmosphere ~ they allow radiant heat in from the sun, but will d not allow the same amount to escape, trapping an ever increasing residual heat in the atmosphere and oceans. This accumulation of heat is called "global warming."
    Hope that answers your question.
    You make the statement ~
There have been many warmer times in Earth's history that went quite well
Is this based upon fact or supposition?
