the problem with this is there is a group of people outside the governments conspiring to influence policy. its not a theory its a known fact.

yet if anyone speaks of it its automatically pushed over the top into the realm of blood sucking reptilians and devil worshipers by those who dont want to acknowledge the facts.

i see it time and time again here.

I left this forum for a long time once before because political discussion was welcomed as long as it was one sided and you agreed with those in control here. at that time it was skip calling the shots. now it would appear the same rules are going to apply once again, only you and ari are calling the shots.so perhaps its time for me to part from this forum once again..

if this is the way its going to be,have fun debating yourselves because i believe many will choose not to bother with this forum anymore.

Wow hippiehillbilly, you’re quick, I’ll get to you later, but first

I was going to add -

Yes, politics can take place behind closed doors away from the public eye, but the merits of the ideas, actions or policies that come out of such private discussions can be debated or discussed.

The problem is that a conspiracy theorists claims there is no point in discussing the merits of the policies because those behind closed doors talks, MUST surely have involved dastardly Lucifer worshippers (or such like) who can ONLY have been hatching an evil plot to take over the world. And anyone that says differently is a moron or part of the conspiracy.

Sorry hippiehillbilly but the last time we spoke you told me you don’t answer questions, explain stuff or debate because your typing ability isn’t that good so you can’t be bothered. In fact that seems to be your attitude in most threads you either cheer some other conspiracy theorist on or you cut and paste stuff.

Even here you are just making an assertion not answering the criticisms.

To you conspiracy exists and that’s an end to it that’s not debate that is a religious belief.

    This is absolutely amazing.

i'm sitting here, sucking up a bong hit, trying to get my thoughts together in order to post, when i start thinking:

Who is so serious about their Big Fat Ideas/Posts, that they can't Allow "conspiracy theories?"

THIS IS A HIPPIE FORUM! If folks want to get stoned, and just tear through the site, posting silliness, humor, heart-felt feelings, whatever,

    THAT'S WHAT IT'S FOR!

But more and more, it's getting so Super Serious, that it isn't being fun nor interesting. If i WANTED a Super Serious forum to talk Politics, i can guarantee you it wouldn't be a Hippie forum!

And THAT's what i mean when i say, "GET A GRIP!!!"

Whoever it is that thinks we aren't taking their views seriously enough:

Sugar, you need to get on down the road, and into a true Political Arena of a forum for the gravity you're looking for. Here, we like to play, too. ;)

no balbus, i dont explain myself over and over and over as if i was discussing a topic with a 5th grader is what i said ..
i gave you links explaining my philosophy, they were not good enough for you.
then what i said was to explain myself to the point to satisfy you would take far to long given my typing abilities.
once again you twist words to discredit others.

i go out of my way here to keep my thoughts in realistic boundaries with evidence (albeit many times circumstantial) to support my claims and as i said before, time and time again people bring in the over the top garbage in a attempt to undermine my statements or twist my words to make them something they are not.
    just as you just did.

as has been stated in this thread, there is nothing in politics that can not be construed as conspiracy and therefore have ones thoughts on it considered a "conspiracy theory".

gardeners thread on tarp funds being intentionally used to drive up oil prices is a perfect example..
he has circumstantial evidence that its being done but in the end his accusation is nothing more than a "conspiracy theory" as he has no solid proof.

like i said,i believe this boils down to yall only want things discussed that you all want discussed and anything else will be deemed conspiracy..

He's absolutely right about that, Balbus.

So. Should we just post our threads directly into the Conspiracy forums? Will that suit y'all?

    Ban you???

What the hell? I like you. Why would you even think that I want to ban you?

I'm not trying to call any shots or censor what people say. If people can't make any political contributions to *this* Forum without escalating every single one of their posts around conspiracy theory, then let me make it clear, they are subject to being moved to the Conspiracy Forum or deleted as per outlined in the Terms and Conditions.

I've never deleted a conspiracy theory thread or post in my life. And I don't believe Balbus has much either.

Conspiracies and outside of the box thinking does have a place in political discourse, but it can't all be just that. There are many Forumers who post in this Forum and are chastised for not believing in the ways of conspiracy theorists and they end up never posting here again. That new Israeli poster, _Maor_ is a good example of this.

People are being accused of being "stupid" and "braindead" for not jumping on the conspiracy theory bandwagon in the Politics Forum, and quite frankly, that's not the kind of tone that this Forum is going to take.

What's so unrealistic about having serious conversation in a hippie politics forum? Nothing.

But we do play. We play all the time in this forum.

Not unrealistic, but come on...

If someone spouts what someone else feels are "crack-pot conspiracy theories,"

we DO have an "IGNORE" feature...

Moderators don't use the ignore feature. We still have to moderate what we read.

I think this is totally abusing a open forum discussion board…

I think common format and courtesy would be to open a thread and ask the communities opinions and comments about threads getting off track.

Instead you guys just spout off that you will delete or move threads not to YOUR approval or YOUR rules.

So there is NO community in this and NO open forum discussion it is all YOUR forum and YOUR rules.

I always thought hippy politics was about looking behind the game, protests, political and financial boycotts, alternative news sources, obtaining and making cooperate documents public, ect.

Even if I don’t believe in view points or opinions I still like to see people discussing things in a Open Forum Discussion.

But what ever have fun with YOUR political forum.

so if we asked for new moderators in this forum that would be OK?? j/k

seriously though,,why was this thread even started?
what was hoped the end result would be??
if it was running all the regular posters out of the forum id say judging from the responses, your on the verge of accomplishing your goal..

    if not what?
