Is there any way to stop or curb the munchies?

    just snort a few rails of coke. then you wont be hungry at all. AND you'll lose weight mad fast. lol jk

    but seriously, if you're one of the types who gets real hungry stoned, there's really not too much you can do. like a few people have said, try eating shit that's healthy for you. Unless you're just in the mood for one of them bacon cheese hamburgers....mmmm....

    Prepare healthy snacks before you get stoned. Chop up lots of celery and carrot sticks, and some other raw veggies you like. When the munchies hit, just go to the fridge and pull out your pre-cut veggies and a small amount of ranch dressing. You can do this with fruit too. If you have a sweettooth you can even drizzle some chocolate syrup over the fruit for a little sundae. Still tasty and satisfying, but has much less calories than an ice cream sundae would.

    Or wait until you get high and then prepare a meal, make sure the table is cleared and set, get the lighting right and maybe put on some nice tunes and enjoy your food. The preparation will help stimulate your mind and ease the intense cravings, and it will also give you more appreciation for your meal so you won't be as likely to mindlessly scarf it down. The setting and music also helps with this. Make it an event instead of just the munchies. This has helped me a lot with day time munchies. Instead of going for some kind of convience food, I'll take the time to slice veggies, preheat the oven, grease pans, boil water, etc. The munchies seem to lose their all powerful grip when your strip away the stereotypes that go along with them. It really is all in your head.

    There's a lot of healthy food you could eat that would taste really good stoned. Sweet fruits like apples, grapes, oranges, mangos, papayas, etc. Melons too.

    the more you eat the faster your metabolism will be. thats why you need 6 square meals a day.

    hibiscus tea is fucking killer. any kind of tea. mix teas. i like to make a huge cup of about six different tea bags mixed together :).

    if you do eat, i think it's helpful to eat a bunch of things in tiny little pieces. i can trick my mind into seeing small things as being really substantial when i'm high. so if you make yourself a plate with like ten things, but each thing is only like 1/10th of a normal serving, you're not eating that much, but you get to taste a whole bunch of different stuff :D. and you'll see it all and be like "whoah, that's a lot of food". and there are things like puffed vegetables that are like chips, but have almost no calories, and are all inflated so you think you're eating more than you are.


    eat slow, too. it's awesome for your metabolism to just snack really lightly really often. and find something more fun to occupy you :).

    I'm pretty good at just willing myself through the munchies til they pass, 'cause I know that otherwise I'm gonna gorge.

    Having a snack before smoking helps too. Or you could prepare a small, healthy snack in advance (and keeping it close by) for when the munchies start up. I like to have a lot of finely chopped fruits and veggies, or a big bowl of salad (for the three of us - in my house my man, my brother and I are always stoned together). Finger foods are good because they always make me feel like I've eaten more than I really have.

    For when I'm out and about and don't want to spend money on food, I keep a pack of fruity gum in my purse. :)

    Green Tea is fucking awesome.

    Its all I usually drink, stoned or sober.
