dunno how its done in england, but colleges/universities in America tend not to like students that take a year off after high school, so its tougher to receive scholarships or become eligible for financial aid and what not. but i dont disagree with you, i know quite a few people who are going to college that are probably not ready for it at all (and will probably drop out, because they want to have fun). just kinda shitty how the system works....bleh.
No I have lots of ambitions, I'm trying to learn two languages, trying to bring my kickboxing beyond an ametuer level, I'm trying to go to law school eventually. I'm ambitious, I'm just not sure where I'm headed.
Well, good luck. How did that armed forces language test go? ( I asked you before but I never read the response )
Still have yet to take it. I thought I was going last weekend, but there is a lot of tape I need to go through first. Mainly having 4 employment references since I left the army in 04, and I can't really account for all that time. It won't be a big problem, But I have to get a reference from Austin, and I'm not driving up there, so I need my friend/ex manager to fill out this paper for me. Once that's done, they'll send me up to MEPS again and validate that I can join. Then I'll have to go again to take the DLAB. It might not be for another month, which I hadn't anticipated.
What a drag... I'd like to take that test, just for fun. (Its a test to see if you are able to learn another language, and not to test you on another language, right?)
Yeah, it's supposed to be pretty wicked. Essentially, they take the english language, and make new rules for it, and you have to complete the test like that. My verbage is anti-beatable though.
I just graduated high school, I'm going to UIC in the fall where my major is marketing...eventually i want to go into music marketing.
