I don't know. I get as much sun as I can, but I don't know if it's too little. I'm not embracing nature, if that's what you're asking. I just go out when I want to or need to.

LOL! No, it does not matter if you embrace nature or not...i was just wondering if it was indeed a vitamin D deficiency, and thought sitting out in the sun would help you answer the question and help you feel better....is all.
I never heard of this deficiency, but it does make sense.....
I am about to go out there myself here in a few minutes.....sitting in this chair does not help my lower back pains.....lately. Maybe I have this deficiency...who knows.

In other words, were you just fine before a few months ago? Did it come on suddenly or gradually? Was there something that happened that might have caused it? Has anything like this ever happened before?

There's lots of different things that could be making you sick, allergies, infection/std, pregnancy, exposure to a toxin, thyroid levels, etc. More information could be helpful.

Gotcha. Now, I understand. Sorry, lol.

I was born with Hydrocephalus and Crouzon Syndrome. So, I've has a bunch of things so far. But, before this happened I was okay. I was just suffering from some joint pain on my legs and was taking Tramadol for it. Anyways, I noticed that I got sick a lot this winter and it was more aggressive, with over 100 degree fevers, really bad headaches, eating patterns changing, but I didn't pay much attention because it was the winter, so everyone gets sick. And because like I said I have two medical conditions, so I'm used to being sick and I don't expect myself to ever go a day without feeling something. However, I was taking the Tramadol more, going from one pill every other day to about one everyday, sometimes two. For some reason Tramdol helps with these symptoms. Anyways, I went to the doctor because I originally thought the symptoms I was experiencing were because I was becoming depended on the medication. So, I went to the doctor ready to go to rehab and detox myself. But, my doctor decided to test me and there you go, I turned out to be vitamin D deficient.

For other information, I'm a person that doesn't make a conscious effort to eat right or exercise, but I'm not eating fried food everyday with tons of beer while being a couch potato either. I consider my approach to my health as average, dare I say normal? But, that's probably not a good word to say, so whatever. Of course, with the exception of things that come up due to my two medical conditions, as such experiencing craniofacal surgery where I'm put on a diet or getting possessed by Satan for a few months, you know.

I'm reading the thread now. Quite an interesting read. Didn't know this vitamin was so important. Thanks.

So if you haven't been taking D3, as rat mentioned, you may want to try switching to that. It very well may be that while you have a vitamin D deficiency, it is not the primary cause of your symptoms.

You should probably see the doctor again. As I said before, if your doctor just said take some D and didn't follow up, your doctor probably sucks and it would be a good idea to find a new one. Acupuncture and chinese herbal medicine could help you a lot.

    Okay, I understand.

As for the acupuncture... I wish I could afford that.

    Thanks for replying.

I can be similar at times, overly tired and fatigued. The feeling can last for weeks. For me, taking enough vitamin D3 to reach a testing level of around 50g/ml and higher helped but wasn't a cure.

Overall, my main problem with low energy comes from a gut problem I have. When the gut is irritated, it seems to effect everything in my body.

Something else that helped with my energy problem is avoiding grains, such as wheat. Wheat is a common gut irritant food. As an experiment you might try going wheat/gluten free for a few weeks to see if that helps. A good sight for information on benefits some see while eating wheat free is ~
