A lot of bunnies are fed to cats in cat food.Sad but true.And we all most of us love cats right? Just another dilemma not to worry about took much I guess.

 

there are more than enough to keep the coyotes well fed. wild rabbits makes it less likely for them to attack a dog cat or child. not pleasant to hear rabbits scream, but thats life. we have a lot of wildlife for a suburban area. i see at least 4 every day, walking 1 block to the bus stop. in the winter you can see all the tracks. sometimes they pee a really bright red/ orange color on the snow, and it looks like a slaughter.

my cat caught 2, and my dog 1 last year, in the backyard. and occasionally you find parts of bunnies left by predators. i found some of a rabbit, and then the trail. i think it got hit by a car, and then was dragged up my walkway and eaten next to my stoop. i think i found the head with one ear, the other ear separate, and a foot. im hoping there arent any big chunks out there, now that the weather is warming up.

im hoping to get some cages and start raising meat rabbits this year. nom nom. ive been spending too much time looking at cuy on the internet too. rabbits are quieter.

 

I know a lady who raises angora rabbits to spin their fur into yarn.....she has a spinning wheel too.....
and here the coyotes will attack your dogs you have to keep a close eye on them in the yard and even in the driveway some guy was telling me his dog was taken right in his driveway around dusk and the coyote just ran off with the dog (it was small dog) I never let my dog out of my sight...since hearing that

 

yep. coyotes arent the biggest thing to worry about here though. we also have bears and mountain lions, when they decide to head down from the hills. its worse in communities closer to the mountains, but they have learned to follow the greenbelts, so you always have to be careful.

thing about angora rabbits though, is that they REQUIRE brushing. i think you are supposed to do it twice a day. i dont really like brushing my 2 cats and small dog. only one cat likes it. i would rather grow flax, and maybe look into angora goats. actually, in my case, be looking into finding cross-breeds, find a nigerian dwarf x angora breed and have a nice all-purpose animal.

 

takes a lot of work to spin yarn.....
a wild cat was spotted in the neighborhood two weeks ago...neighbor sent a email warning everyone....lions n tigers n bears oh my n skunks are scary too

We have these fun things called lasagna roll-ups, basically a fat noodle rapped around spinach and feta, then topped with marina and green onions. It looks like a very large roll

some idiot across the street has a 4cyl honda only running on 3 cyl and apparently thinks revving it up for 2 hours will fix itself

 

I got a citation once, for j walking. and for speeding. and for going around a school bus when its red lights were flashing. and for parking without a permit at college.
