My wife is in tears because of pictures circulating of entire families beheaded including babies.

There's two types of Palestinians; those directly involved in terrorism, and those cheering their terrorists on...

Anyone who thinks otherwise is a naive fool.

You really seem determined to demonstrate your ignorance relaxxx.

    There are militant Palestinians,
There are those who sympathise with the Militants are not active but may become active,
There are those who have nowhere else to call home and who live there enduring the day-to-day life.

The conflict has been on-going for years despite the media not broadcasting it.
There's been thousands of deaths on both sides (Palestinian and Israeli) during that time,
    It seems likely to get worse because if/when Israel pushes forward to root out the Hamas militants;

    a. they will find it nigh impossible to distinguish them from the population making it harder to know when they've all been caught/killed;
    b. they will kill some in Gaza who are seen (locally to Gaza) as innocent
    c. there will be those sympathisers who will hide the militants and work underground just like the French resistance did in WWII (not comparing those two but the underground part is what I am describing).
    c. a+b will create a recruiting agency and increase the numbers active in c, which will mean more Hamas in the future because, as with all conflicts, there's no military solution.

As I wrote before, there will need to be compromise on both sides to reach some sort of peace agreement.
It appears neither side has been talking to the other over these past years.
IMV, that has led to this upsurge and with Israel being the one with the power, they could have negotiated with outside intermediaries.

They''ll need to negotiate anyway in the longer term.

What knowledge do you have relaxxx, of this conflict or any other one?

When one thinks of war, they, most likely, think of it in MILITARY terms.

Meaning, the warring factions targeting each other's military war machines, instead of the senseless, barbaric, despicable mass slaughter of innocent babies, children, mothers, and other innocent people.

This is NOT war.....this is nothing but a demonic SLAUGHTER.

And we thought that we could never again see anything as horrific and as evil as the Holocaust........

But there really is some ugly history here. Immediately after WW 2 the UK partitioned Palestine as a homeland for survivors of the Holocaust. Notice the UK didn’t offer the survivors Wales or Bavaria….just half of Palestine. But there were already people living there. Sounds a lot like the treaties, now scraps, offered Indians doesn’t it.

So since WW2 there has been continuing war and strife……when will it ever end?

I am now recalling the song from the oft-forgotten flick, "LOST HORIZON"(1973):

"....the world is a circle without a beginning and nobody knows just where it ends......" (something like this, from what I recall!)

I take this to mean, that the world keeps on going through endless, repetitive cycles, from its beginning to its ultimate end.

True, styles, fashions, technology, music.....all continue to evolve and change, over the course of many centuries, and WAR, sadly, ALWAYS seemed to be a part of this cycle.

Even when the world enjoyed relatively peaceful periods, for the most part, there was ALSO some sort of conflict taking place.

"Dr Zaius" (to "Taylor", in 1968's "Planet Of The Apes"):

"...he (Man) is a warlike creature who does battle with anything around him, even himself....."

IMHO, Dr. Zaius had it right................

There are many people in Israel, Gaza and also outside of these areas who are worried about the their life and the life of their families and friends.
At the moment many horrible things could be happened in both sides which is unusual.
I believe blood of any body no matter black or white, Christian or Jewish, Muslim or Buddhism, are better than the others, the blood of all of people are the same so any barbarian actions
are condemn and no body is happy to watch people who are scapping from rocket attack which comes from Gaza or bomb striking by Israeli airplanes.
If we forget our personal interests, we can talk and analyze the present dirty situation normally.
If we take a look to the map of Israel we immediately understand the Palistinian people are settled in two tiny lands where before the founding of Israel belonged to them . Actually these two settlements are two big persons where occupied by 6 millions Palestinian who can not go out or in without permission by Israel and even the Arab countries like Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. At least 3 generation have grown up in this horrible and treble situation. No money ,no education ,no health, no water nothing absolutely nothing to live, so many of young people in Palestinian try to move to the other countries for the minimum life condition. Actually this people are refugee all around the world for more than 70 years like Jewish people before the stabilishing the Jewish state in their home land.
It is a dirty game that started after world war 2, so if many young Jewish people including BB pry minister's family decided to joint the underground army to fight for their homes, so why the young generation of Palestinian don't do the same as Jewish young guys did already.
Now , may be we understand how Hamas have been born in Gaza.

According to the news Isreal striked 200 times during the last night, just imagine Gaze is 140 square mile. It means 1.5 bomb for each sugar mile, just think where the people in Gaze can go even if they are warned to leave their home to go to a safe place.
It is a real barbarian actions.

The sheer demonic of all of this SENSELESS, BRUTAL, and BARBARIC slaughter truly defies all human comprehension.

How DEMENTED, WARPED, SICK, and EVIL a mind must be, to carry out such mass slaughtering without a twinge of guilt?

HOW in the name that is sane can these warped, misguided, and evil individuals sleep at night??

In hindsight, what we witnessed in the Ukraine a year or more back was an eerie fortelling of even great bloodshed and murder to come, this time in the Middle East.

These sickening acts of cowardice truly are light-years beyond despicable.

HOW......and WHEN...will all the carnage finally CEASE?

Not even the most astute military man could hope to provide an answer.....

The priminsrer BB has killed all the peace negotiation during the last 4 years and sized Gaza since the last year, so he is responsible for the present dirty situation.

According to Al Alam news agancy, Israeli Air Force bombarded Gaza more than 2300 times during the last four days. If it is an approved news which I am not sure, each sguar miles of Gaza received more than 16 bombs, so Gaza should be vanished up to now. It is an ugly war.
