The problem with a question like this is that there is no answer to satisfy everyone. There are lots of good Jews out there and there are lots of good Arabs (Persians or whatever) As a nation though Israel has shown it's stones more times than I care to recount. If it came to a war Israel would certainly win. No way around that. To say that any group is more right or wrong than any other is bigotry plain and simple.
Ok I know I'm going to regret asking this, propoganda is propoganda either way you slice it, but still how is Israel the oppressor man?
Right, because Iran has never oppressed anyone: No, she doesn't feel oppressed at all..... Nor do the Kurds who live there. Or the Baha'i who live there. No, no oppression there...
Interesting posts from both of you! To be honest... it's a very long story with lots of twists and turns and... I guess I've been learning about it all in a casual way for so long I don't even think about it anymore I just accept it all as fact. It comes down to things like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Zionist control and oppression, expansion of territory, influence on Western politics, US supplying then with weapons and all that. These songs will explain it better than I probably can: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4p1CJwTNC9M"]Long Live Palestine by Lowkey (Official Video) - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PgxMjmKE0c"]Lowkey - Long Live Palestine Part 2 (lyrics) - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEkjbnHIEFc"]"Israel", The 51st State - Lowkey - YouTube
Really? Those things are all that it boils down to? I think the situation over there is far, far more complicated than you are capable, or willing, to comprehend.
Seriously, how is Israel oppressing Iran? Your last post just basically says: "I have been blindly listening to what I'm told, and have such a weak grasp of the situation that I can't even articulate my position. Here are some songs about conflict in the middle east."
lol well, it's more that I don't enjoy getting into political debates much anymore, because they just result in... you know, bad vibes and people clashing. I'd rather not get into all that.
Haha, I have to agree there It's not wrong to not be up to date about 2 faraway countries with which you have no connection with in your life at all But then why feel the need to still proclaim and take a side? Especially if you don't like political debates and rather not get into it You see. And even if I was sure I was aware of the whole conflict I doubt if I would pick a side even then. Because frankly we don't always have to :2thumbsup:
I was under the impression that Israel did a fuck ton of fucking up in their fucking war with Lebanon. Hardly a victory . . .
Israel was never at war with Lebanon. Check your facts.... Like I said before, you don't see Hezbollah pulling the same sort of shit anymore.
Sig, Well, I checked my facts, and it turns out that a whole fuck ton of sources--both alternative and mainstream--call it a war. What on earth caused you to believe for all this time that it wasn't? Maybe you should have checked your facts, and then cross-reference them just to be sure.
Really? All those sources said Israel was at war with Lebanon, as you originally claimed? When was the declaration of war formalized by Israel? Does it matter that the Lebanese government never once said they were at war with Israel? Does it matter that Israeli and Lebanese forces never engaged in direct hostilities? The war took place in Lebanon, not against Lebanon. Israel was fighting Hezbollah, not the Lebanese government. Wording is everything....
They need to level the whole area(s) and build parking ramps. That will make space for topless bars and casinos and plenty of room to park. Both places are shit holes and to pick one over the other is, Do you like shit or poop? Wipe them out and no more bitching, Put up a McDonalds and be done.
you are right that they were after Hezbollah but It´s not wrong to call it a war on Lebanon since the Israëli's bombed the public airport of Beirut and put up a naval blockade which hit the whole population. I also don´t believe that all 1000-1500 Lebanese casualties where Hezbollah sympathisants.
