When I first became a vegetarian all I did was eat strictly according to a vegetarian food pyramid i found online....I was healthier than I had ever felt in my life....AND I LIVE IN GEORGIA TOO, but i was raised on the chick-fil-a/mcdonalds diet. There is a lot to know about nutrition but so far every vegetarian/ vegan i have ever met knows more about nutrition than any meat eater i have ever met except my aunt and sister in law who are dietitians. For all you haters notice i did not say that all vegetarians know more about nutrition then meat eaters...just the ones i have met. and I dont count 9 yr old girls who decide to be cool and be a veg so they eat nothing but ramen noodles and candy bars, because their parents dont support their decision... That guy from georgia got banned for some reason but just to tack on to what he said - it actually IS hard to be a vegetarian in georgia if you dont live in little five points, a commune or savannah-and that verse he quoted I have actually had that used against me by bible thumpers telling me im going to hell for not eating meat. BUT the reason it is hard definately isnt for lack of food, because their is plenty of good produce AND organic produce - its just because of assholes. I have even had people purposefully trick me by telling me there is no meat in it and then after i take a bite they say actually it just has a little meat in it. anyways - i just realized i am getting way off-topic.....if you can afford a nutrionist or dietician go for it, but it really isnt nescesarry...and if you DO get one - find one who specializes in vegan/veggie diets.
