True, but aside from monetary aid we give the most in food aid, we spend the most to fun the UN, the world bank, and the IMF, and when something horrible happens, Haiti, the pacific tsunami, our military is always the first there providing relief and reconstruction. This is the main problem, our military budget is larger then the next 30-40 countries combined. Norway, Netherlands, Ireland don't need to spend so much of their budget on the military, especially since because of NATO the US military backs up almost every European country.

Besides that's just the government, Americans themselves are still the most charitable people on Earth:

Well this is already common knowledge, who doesn't hate the French. I mean there's a good chance America wouldn't have existed without France and we fuckin hate the French.

haha, i'm sorry. I automatically assume alot of things
The reason i assume recognition is when you mentioned

"I'm just saying it should count for something..."

I thought that something was recognition. Since everyone supposedly hates America so much, I thought this thread was heading towards your country helping out first makes it seem everyone should like it more and stop bashing.

Maybe even give it a "Way To Go, America!" :p

But thanks for taking my judgment into consideration and saying it shed a new light, it was awfully nice of you :)

psht, your entire economy is dependent on America's insatiable appetite for resources. Why do nearly all Canadians live within 150 miles of the US border? *insert smug face*

Actually most of our economy relies on our natural resources and most of us live near the border cause it's to fucking cold up north.

exactly, who do you think buys most of those natural resources. Hell yea america, 5% of the world's population, 20% of its electricity use.

    Canada:
    Main export partners U.S. 78.9%, UK 2.8%, China 2.1% (2007)

Ya dude that means you need us! im pretty sure there are other countries dying out there to get our oil, wood, weed even we exporting water to the usa!and no im not getting this info out of my ass!you are just closer and its more convenient to just drive it south than send it with a boat to europe.

and as everyone said, its to cold to live northern but not 150miles from the border.even Ottawa is more than 300miles from the border and there are MUCH more many cities even northern than ottawa with alot of people.
