Well think of it this way.. If America floats off into space.. Canada will still have massive amounts of natural resources to sell to many trading partners..of course most of it goes to America, there right there!
why are you so proud of your contry.. seriously, nationalism is one of the worst things to happen to man.
Yeah they ovbiosuly made an earthquake happen, a tsunami, hurricane, droughts. These are all ovbiously started by the U.S.A
Yeah, the collective thought pattern of greed and materialism of course causes natural disasters in poor countries...thats just common knowledge man
Patriotism isn't racism, if you can't find anything in your country's history to be proud of, well your country just sucks.
Sure there is shit to be proud of, but there is alot of ugliness behind every country too that brings shame to the human race. Countries are nothing more than imaginary boundaries on masses of land with different rules inside the lines.
Patriotism is just a way to make yourself feel supirior to others, and for some reason people think it's a good thing
No countries also generally mark the boundary of one culture vs another. This is why most countries generally work well. Drawing lines on a map you get what happened to Africa in colonialism.
I mvery proud of my nationality and my culture...think of travelling, when youre travelling through a different country and meet someone of the same nationality theres automatically a bond. Doesnt mean to say I think my heritage is better than anyone elses but its people that are apathetic towards their nationality that ruin countries. If we (or any other country) werent proud of their country then the whole world would have been colonised by now. Its pure apathy, mask it with racism or whatever you want to call it but thats why this country is a steaming pile of shit at the moment.
hell I'm part Irish and I'm proud of Ireland too. Ireland is a prime example of what happens when true artificial lines are drawn though, i.e the troubles. reminds me of a funny quote from America: The Book though when talking about future world hot spots in 2025 Southern Ireland: Tired of being ignored, they start killing each other
The North is a very complicated touchy subject...and its all religious, fucking stupid. Driving through the countryside all over the country you still see the English plantations, huge walled estates covering hectares of land surrounded the whole way around by 4 metre high walls. The Irish peasants used to farm and were basically slaves to the English landowners. They couldnt even leave the plantation without permission. Why shouldnt I be proud that they refused to go through that, and a famine that wiped out a 1/4 of the population largely because of England. Its not racist to be proud that we reclaimed our country. If I held prejudice hostility towards the English then thats a different story but I dont whatsoever.
It's not racist, notice the only people calling it racism and a problem of humanity are the canadians, like canada has anything to be proud of.
Well if Canada has nothing to be proud of, I guess no countries except your God given United States have anything to be proud of. Come on, you're a smart guy, do you realise what your saying? Unless you're trolling, that would make alot of sense.
did you ignore the smiley faces? but no, had America taken over canada in the war of 1812 it would've been the best thing for both us, Canada could actually matter, and America would have a liberal edge nearly all the time instead of flopping back and forth, perfect combination.
Oh I wasnt really replying to you in response to the racist comments, just got carried away Well they have good cheap weed eh? dont forget aboot the moose buddy. :cheers2:
I think all these people who are "fuck america" should get the fuck out then... America is the land of opportunity.. if America sucked so fucking much.. then why are people people by the 10's of millions moving here each year? We provide opportunities and rights that many other people do not get in other less fortunate countries.. now the Government itself... different story.. the idea of America is still in tack to a lot of people all over the world and for good reason
