the autumnal equanox is the day that really counts. the little goblings are cute though.
i guess i should lay in supplies for them, though i'm not really expecting any to materialize. they seldom do. fur myself i've got my funky green cat head and tail i made more then a decade ago now. i forget what year it was exactly. never have gotten any forepaws to go with it, which kind of spoils the effect. not that i'd want to look scarry. i'd rather look strange and cuddly at the same time.

Southern California chef on trial for allegedly killing his wife told police he slow-cooked her body then dumped it out as kitchen waste.

Dawn Viens disappeared in 2009 and police identified her husband David – the chef at the former Thyme Café in Torrance, Calif. – as a prime suspect.

In 2011, investigators dug up the Thyme Café, which Dawn co-owned, searching for her body. But in a taped interview played Tuesday in court, David Viens seemed to tell police why her remains may never be found

I took some, some things like weights that we use and I put them on the top of her body, and I just slowly cooked it and I ended up cooking her for four days,"


Viens said on tape, I argue with my wife, then bound her arms and feet and duct-taped her mouth shut. I panicked when I found her dead the next morning.

A condemned Ohio inmate who weighs 480 pounds and has a history of difficulty losing weight argues he would face a "torturous and lingering death" if executed in January.

Ronald Post, who shot and killed a hotel clerk in northern Ohio almost 30 years ago, said his weight and other medical problems raise the likelihood his executioners would encounter severe problems. He's also so big that the execution gurney might not hold him, lawyers for Post said in federal court papers filed Friday.

"Indeed, given his unique physical and medical condition there is a substantial risk that any attempt to execute him will result in serious physical and psychological pain to him, as well as an execution involving a torturous and lingering death," the filing said.

Vantz's son, William, laughed when he first heard about the request, but immediately turned serious.

"I don't care if they have to wheel him in on a tractor-trailer; 30 years is too long," he said, according to The Plain Dealer. "Enough is enough. This is just an excuse to get out of the execution."

How can people remain fat in prison? Aren't their meals regulated? It is not as though he can snack all day long while sitting in front of a television.

 

Apparently as long as you have money you can purchase snacks from the vending machines and they're packed with sugar, sucrose, and calories

I'm going to Halloween Horror Nights most likely, but not on Halloween. On Halloween, we'll probably just wear masks and answer the door to little kids.
