I thought ( and ok, I am new to the site) it was for peace and love people.
A community of good souls to nurture and cherish each other.

He desperately needs some help from a therapist before he can be healed of his problem.
I abhor violence, physical and mental. I had Asian neighbors, where the husband was abusing his wife. His sisters would beat her up too.
This was explained by them as 'cultural traditions.' It makes me sick. All mistreatment of people is wrong. Liam thinks because it is his wife he has a right to 'slap her down.'

Let me put you all straight so there's no mistake about this....My wife belongs to me. She is treated very well and i love her very dearly, but when I think it's needed, I have to punish her or what would she be doing next. I'm hoping to see the vote rise in my favour soon.

It would be different if you where defending your self from her when she was going to shout you in the head but regardless of that you shouldn't resort to hurting her. You keep on telling you self its not wrong... keep living in a dilusional world. Pretend ... make your self believe... man wake up. Okay I know you only hit her "4" times but regardless you shouldn't. You shouldn't put her in her "place" she doesn't belong to you. She obviously loves you enough to put up with that but get one thing straight she can leave if she wanted to ...walk right out the fuckin door ....and leave you forever. My husband and I are parents and we love our children and would NEVER hit them nor would we hit each other.

Instead of telling you what I think of you and calling you names I would like to instill some rationality by suggesting you get some professional help, if you talk to your local doctor he can get you some counselling to help you over your issues, cause (as much as you can't see it) I promise you that you have some major ones.

I'm not being sarcastic, I'm genuinely trying to help you, and more importantly that poor wife of yours, cause thinking about how she must be feeling and what she must be going through is making me sick to my stomach!

liam, how would you like if you were in her position? Always being afraid of doing or saying the wrong thing. If you truly loved your wife, you could never bring yourself to raise a hand against her. I just can't even begin to comprehend what your trying to say. I mean, your using your superior strength to mold your wife into the woman you want. How is that right? It simply shows how inept you are at dealing with problems. This is another classic example of how many men are behind the times. I'm 16 years old, and I have a girlfriend. And I really do think we were meant for each other. And I could never EVER even imagine a scenario where I could physically attack her. Or even verbally attack her. I love her too much. Although, I can't even think of a scenario where I could hit any women.

Wrong, pain has no place in sex or a relationship. Usally anyone wanting abuse was abused as a child and has deep physicological problems. I personally could not abuse anyone wether they asked for it or not.
While I am at the keyboard I would like to register my no vote and yes I am a man and yes I have been in a relationship with a woman for over ten years and I do have children and no I do not beat them for having human failabilities.
