Dude, fuck you. Self-righteous? I think you just want to trash on somebody for no reason.

This isn't my first offense, and I know what the fucking judges are like.

O, so just BLOW OFF all my property that they have no right to take? Hey why don't we all just bend over and let babylon's minions fuck us in our asses til we can't walk! Gee, why don't I just donate my paycheck to the cops. I think you're a fucking pushover saying some shit like that.

Third, the cop isn't gonna say shit to the judge, I've already spoken to my lawyer to get my shit back.

I am in total shock at this post, what the fuck was the point of it? They seize my car and everything in it over a small amount of pills and mj, so you feel like YOU can call me self-righteous cause I want to show people how fucked up the system is? Why don't you do the world a favor and wash down a bottle of barbs with some jd.

Uhh, I know this. I think that was the point of my post; to illustrate how ridiculous it is. I don't think geckopelli's post had any point but to be an asshole.

First off, I wasn't smoking and driving. My stupidity was not paying attention enough and missing a stop sign that was far off on the sidewalk. I always almost miss it and it is my fault for blasting the dead and not paying enough attention.

Second off, I don't think you understand what a big time dealer is. Getting busted twice for measly amounts of marijuana doesn't really show that I am 'big time,' FFS The city I live in is a MAJOR distribution point for hard drugs. And I don't think I blamed anyone for the shit I am in but me. Sure, I don't believe in any of these fucking laws, but I live here so whatever.

I figured I would tell what happened to me to others so they could see how fucking stupid the system can get- maybe others will learn from it. I didn't post to be a whiney bitch... I didn't post cause I thought it was something out of the ordinary that cops don't do often... Third off, I didn't post to hear assholes act like they know some shit (geckopelli.) By the way, you open up saying you agree with geckopelli... when nothing you said correlates really. He tells me to blow off the lost 'items,' when I haven't even been trying to get my cd's or anything back... if you read all of the posts you would see that all I want back right now is my house keys identification and my phone. I finally got those things back today. Not to mention, the only cd's I really care about getting back are the live phish ones which are NOT MINE and real pressings. Can people please try to read the posts carefully before they post inane responses.

dude, fuck them people. you got screwed. my brother got pulled over for "running a red light" when all he was doing was making a left hand turn and he didnt want his whole fucking car sticking out in the intersection. he had about 3 ounces on him and they treated him like he was some sort of columbian drug lord. he never got his car back, and it took him almost 8 days to get his phone, money, ID, etc back. they put him through the same shit as you. america, the land of the free? yea.

That sucks man I feel his pain, they're gonna keep my car and I finally got my phone, ID, and house keys back yesterday. As you can see, I know this is not a one time occurrence in America. I thought other people should know how bad it can get, and I really just needed to vent a little.

Well that sucks for you that you went to the slammer for no reason; that isn't my fault though. I didn't post to be a whiney bitch either, but all your posts do is basically try to rag on me for whining. Just stop dude, don't be a dick to others because the system fucked you like it's going to fuck me. What does that accomplish?

You ask "Does anyone get indignant over the the stuff they got away with?" The problem as far as I see it, is that I shouldn't really need to "get away" with anything in this situation. I should have been slapped a ticket/fine for failure to stop, and it should have ended right there.

Actually, I always smell like weed or some kind of smoke.. it's just the way I smell. Second, I was TOO nice to them dude, until one cop started spraying his spit all over my face when he was bitching after they had already found the weed on me, that's when i started being an asshole. What pissed them off was my long hair, goatee, and me saying 'man.'

I am not exaggerating about the dist. point shit; go to dea.gov and look at their drug information pages for the northeast. I'm pretty sure lowell and lawrence in mass are specifically named not for mass but for the northeast region. There is undercover DEA presence here and in surrounding towns... it's just that these cops were assholes man. Like you said, depends on the cop. I hadn't just smoked, so that was just the smell of me or my car. I've been pulled over before when I stank way bad, and not had to deal with this bs... To top it off you called these guys street cops, but they are vice. The cop who began rummaging through my shit as soon as he got to my car is the head of the drug force. It's a really ridiculous situation man- I am driving a kia with a smashed back window, blinkers that don't work, and my axel is all fucked up too. I had like 20 or 30 bucks in my pocket probably that was actually my OWN money.. The bags of rolls they got aren't worth much on the street, neither is the weed (that I wasn't slanging anyways). I am broke, I don't deal drugs, if I did, I would have tons of money and not be driving a fucked up kia, of all cars. They know this. They just wanted to go on a power trip, and make themselves look good to the public, keeping that HUGE amount of drugs off of the streets.

Yea that's reality but there's no need to be so arrogant, look at his post. His first post was basically just like him being an asshole for no reason. He wasn't like "Man, that sucks, but you play the game you gotta accept the consequences," that's more along the lines of how you responded.

And the biggest problem of all for me is my complete moral objection to the criminalization of drugs. Let me ask you, does it bother you when something your morals object to is common place all around you? I'll bet it does. And it's not like I live in some fantasy world where I think this shit will actually change here enough for me to feel content with the laws, so I'll probably head to a more liberal part of the world when I am 'legal' again.

    You don't get it.

    Shit happens. Deal with it.

You want me to soft pedal it to you? Then I guess you were looking for sympathy after all. In fact, reread your first post and tell me you weren't whining. "those evil cops treated me unfairly" is the gist of it.

If your so indignant, than plead no contest and refuse to offer a defense. And go to jail and be a martyr.

But you'd better not- you'll get no sympathay or proper responses in there!

If my harshness offends you- good. Maybe you'll lean to take this business more seriously.
    Think about this:
I'm a nice guy compared to your potential cellmates.
    -------------
I'm just trying to help you, man.
lose the attitude before you get in front of the judge.

I'm not going to go in front of a judge saying that I believe all drugs should be decriminalized... I'm not a fucking fool. I posted here in a forum of like-minded individuals to give a glimpse at how shitty the system is, and get input from others. You already know how shitty it is, I really didn't expect a response lke that from you- seriously dude I would expect you to maybe post what happened to you to also show how shitty the system is. I wasn't whining either- you've never felt so fucked and pissed off that you needed to vent? There's no better place for me to do it in my mind... I dunno man you just came off sounding mad arrogant in your first post and I've never noticed you post something like that...

What really fired me up was them keeping my ID, HOUSE keys, and phone for so long... if they're gonna seize my possessions because of the war on drugs, then I just have to deal with it... But me having to deal with finding a place to sleep every night from thursday til monday was kind of shitty, and just not necessary. Since they took all my money I couldn't use any payphones, since they took my cellphone, I didn't know any of my friend's cell numbers.. I was calling the officer everyday at work and they just kept giving me the run around... and you know what happened eventually? They just had me go down to the junkyard and some lady gave me my shit, took two minutes, I don't understand what took two weeks for them to do that... but whatever I've got a good lawyer right now and I am just trying to do what I can to either get it thrown out or get lesser charges.

Yea man I am pretty young... but I am starting to notice how pussy these guys really are... there have been lots of arrests around here lately, they seriously are just pussies.... FFS Some of the bigger dealers around here have narcs in their family selling them the shit they seize... Job security plays a big part in it too as you say, they make it look like they're doing sooo much for the public when anybody who's in the know realizes that this is NOTHING at all in the grand scheme of things. I realize geck is trying to offer real advice- it was just that his first post came off sounding shitty to me... As he posted more, his points became more clear though.. When they had me up against the car, they were seriously just loving the thought of screwing me in any way they could, the head of the drug force is cumming all over his slacks exclaiming how in three days one of his detecs will be driving my smashed up kia and shit... then laughing about how i'll probably lose my job cause i'll have no ride, FFS I am nineteen, a support engineer, I have a nice job and I am a college drop out, if I lose this job it's just like ultimate shit rain on my parade, and they're just laughing it up talking so much shit being the pussies they are... scare tactics don't work on me luckily so after they had already cuffed me and shit and not read me my rights I just ran my mouth to piss them off as much as I could. You put it best, pussies, that's the best way to describe em...

Yeah, what's up with that? Why is it that they almost never read anybody their rights anymore? I didn't get mine read, neither did my friend...

They only have to read you your rights if they're going to "ask" you to waive them.
    ------------
I glad you're getting my point.

There is absolutly NOTHING nice or easy about your situation. You don't need sympathy or empathy- you need allies who won't let you get weak and slip.

Those pigs don't give a shit if you live or die. At best, you're just a statistic to them. More bust- More bucks for the department. At worst, you're the fucking devil incarnate and your very existence justifys whatever it takes to nail your ass.

    Took your personal shit?
Ha fuckin' ha! Another chance to fuck over that doper!
You can bet that's why he kept your shit. It's his M.O.

So why give that pig the satisfaction of jerking you around anymore?
And on a more rational note: do not make personal contact with any person who has had you charged with a crime. It's a potential bag of snakes.
Remember- the pig's shown himself to be the stuff liars and thieves are made of. What might he claim was said on the phone or in private?

You settle your shit in court. Ask the judge for your wallet back.
If he orders it so, that pig is looking at contempt if he doesn't produce it promptly.

And for the next time (Why is there always a next time?), here's some advice that cost me a fortune in cash and hard knocks to learn, but that has since gotten me out of more shit than you'd believe:

    1) You have the right to remain silent- USE IT! In any confrontation with the pigs, Name, address, and "I choose to stand mute". With one exception, that's it. Nothing you can say will help- and plenty of things can hurt. No baseball, no "where's your dad work?", no nothing. SILENT.
You may get arrested- but that's nothing, and will probably happen anyway. By standing mute you've improved your chances in court dramatically.

The one exception is a loud "NO" when the cops "ask" to, or start to search.

This one's harder, butit's the essence of it all:

    2) There are no good guys and bad guys. Just you and them.
