Yeah, its pretty practical too. Its traditional for most monasteries to just let you walk in and start monking. Of course you have to sleep on the floor, wear robes and do a lot of primitive chores, but its a far superior slavery than the average job.
When I was very young I wanted to be a nun because for some reason I perceived it as some kind of really cool girls group, where you have 'sisters' that you hang out with all the time and have slumber parties and just do a bunch of girly stuff.... but sadly I don't think I'd pull off being a nun so much now they wouldn't want me.
